I would love to be able to get back down to the coast. My life right now makes traveling kind of an ordeal. If this happens, hopefully someone can post a few pics.

Any good lift shops in that area? I've used Alpha truck and ricks pro trucks before, both of which I'm not going to use again.

I bought the truck to have fun with it so that's what I'm going to do. However, my wallet can't keep up. I'm at a stand still right now cause all the stuff I want to do next is big.

Saw your running 255/85/16's. Have been debating that route. How you like em?
Doing 5100 and new springs with Toytec long AAL with fox 2.0's in the rear myself. I figure my 265/75 KO2's are gonna look a wee small after.
Took some good notes off of your build thread!:burnrubber::mudding:

I like them a lot so far, haven't had any problems. I think my only complaint with my is they are an E-rated tire so they are pretty heavy which has been impacting my mpgs.

End of Feb works for me, I should be available any weekend until the first week of may, then it looks like I'll be moving out of state.

I have 2 jobs tentatively lined up for as soon as I graduate college and around the end of the year I'm going to put an application in for a PD up there.
I've got family up there so it won't be to bad of a move.

I feel ya on the E tires. These things are as heavy as some 285's!
Lucked into a good swap for some 285 Dick Cepek radials, so definitely will be getting the hyper-tech calibrator soon.
Did you re-do your speedo? It helped wonders with my last automatic after I slapped 33's on it. Went back to almost stock mpg with the stock 29's it had.

Nope. Just getting the shift points optimized for the size helped the stock gears pull them fine. Last set were 285/75 as well. They were the E Duratracs.
I'm gonna hand calculate the mileage before and after the switch I'm doing this coming up Friday, then order the hyper tech and see the actual difference. But my wallet felt the help last time for sure.:broccoli:

I used a Flashcal calibrator on my last 4x4. I think Hyper-tech in the only one making an inline calibrator for the new tacomas at the moment. Unfortunately there is no plug and calibrate option for the new tacos right now. Has to go in between the instrument cluster and he dash wiring. You program your tire size on the on the unit with your PC then just plug it in. The Flashcal was super easy, but Toyota has an issue with people using plug in programmers apparently from what I've read.

I'm in for a meet up. Just north of Woolmarket here, but Biloxi-Gulfport-Ocean Springs is good for me.
