Nope. 882s are tall enough. If running 265s, anymore height will dwarf the tires. And I'm debating shackles or aal to get some rake. It sits pretty darn level. I need the height for all my camping junk and additional fuel :)

My set up didn't last long. I estimate 10k miles. I hit a big, Michigan pot hole and this was the result.

    Can I buy 1 OME 880 spring?

They were on such a short time, my original TRD/Bilsteins were still sitting on the shop floor. Swapped out the assemblies and 20 minutes later I was rolling out the door.

I drove the truck for a week apparently. I remember hitting the pot hole then hearing a weird rubbing sound. It reminded me of of the rubber dust cover on the shock. I figured that was what was making the noise, so I continued to drive it. It sounded like rubber rubbing on metal. The best I can describe it.

So I've seen lots of talk about the ome kit and decided to pull the trigger. Great thread! Going with 883s and the full kit with diff drop. Also, ive seen lots of talk about doing the aal with the draker, shackles, nitros to balance the stance. Why have I heard no talk of adding airbags? My extended cab 01 2.7 4x4 had 2"blocks and airbags and I loved it.

I do more camper pulling, dirt hauling, and wood runs than true offroading. Is running airbags compatible with the ome setup?

I cant say for sure.... but it shouldnt be a problem installing air bags but if you have the dakar leaf springs and the extra leaf and 2" shackels your going to sit pretty high in the back i woud imagine I'd be curious to see that set up if anybody's got pictures

I was thinking about rather than installing an aal in an attempt to balance the stance, doing airbags so you can dial it in and have the extra load capability. If anyone has pics using Dakar and airbags, I'd like to see them too.

Somebody already answered, but yes 235/85/16 will work on stock suspension. I have no rubbing, still have the OEM mud flaps, and did not have trim.

Thanks for the feedback. I recently picked up some 4Runner 5 stars that I plan an painting Gun Metal/Graphite/Charcoal. What tires are you running? Do you think my 4 cylinder can handle the 235's? Man, you live in some beautiful country!!

You're welcome. 4Runner 5 Stars are probably my favorite, affordable Toyota made wheel. The tires I am running are BFG T/A KO2s. The LT235/85/16s are Load Range E, so they a lil bit stuff and heavy but it didn't really change my driving characteristics when I made the switch from P265/70/16s. Oregon's pretty awesome, always places to explore!

    *Throw your suggestions my way*
I am wanting to replace my suspension within the year with OME products. I want to add as minimal lift as possible 1" - 2" to serve my purpose and negating the urge to bump up tire size. At that time, i'll be adding an ARB Bull Bar, Warn Winch in the front. In the rear, I usually care a bed rack + RTT + gear when we're on the road.
What coil for the front would you use? Leaf spring pack? Has anybody had to do a diff drop under 2"?
    Thanks.

OME 882s, OME shocks all around and OME Dakar spring packs, ARB, Warn 8000, ARE shell, Custom rear bumper w/ reciever, 5-235/80R17 Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX on FJ wheels, grey wire mod, Hi-Lift, Hellas, Red-Line hood lifters, Scion radio, sliders, Safari snorkel & LED Ditch lights on CBI mounts.
@MCObray no diff drop is necessary for under 2", I have 2.5-2.75" front coils and have had no CV issues and this is w/o diff drop.
Contact a reputable suspension supply company (someone chime in here please) and they can help you with the leaf packs and proper coil over 880, 881, etc.
BTW I have been VERY happy with my OME & Dakars with ARB + Warn 8000 winch set up.
    Good luck!

On suspension, Cruiser Outfitters has great customer service and have always taken the time to discuss what I'm after, pros and cons, my options and expectations. And the owner has had a couple of badass tacos, very well built and professional.

    Here's Mine:

    881s
    Dakars
    OME shackles
    All Pro UCAs.

I didn't measure before so lift #s are estimates. I think about 2" in the front and 3/3.5" in the back.
I rub fender liners a little bit on the front.
I've got some lean and could use a spacer on the left.

    Old tires are 265/70/16 Generals
New tires are 265/75/16 ST Maxx

I talked with Arb direct and they said 881 . 882 and 883 they said would put too much stress on the vehicle
