Hi all new to the community. Lately I noticed a small leak on the pump side of the high pressure line fitting. Could it be a seal? Btw I just replaced the PS pump my self am I missing something? Here's a video of the leak while the engine is running

Did you use new gaskets on the high pressure hose connection? What did you torque it to?

Been a while.since i had mine.apart but i dont recall there being any brass washers on either side of that banjo style fitting. Atleast i dont think there were when i had mine apart like 5 times in a couple weeks due to an ongoing issue that took a bit to track down. Mine never had an issue leaking after all those times removing the high pressure fitting. My only leak issue was the oring on the bottom of the reservoir and it was due to me forcing it on the pump with also not having lubed the oring before hand, being dry it grabbed and messed it up upon install. Id make sure to tighten tjat thing well! There is some serious pressure there my man. If there is some brass washers/seals there you prolly buggred them up a bit unfortunately, creating that leak. Its a good leak too, i bet it really gets going while creating pressure using the pump to steer!

***edit** i take that back there were two brass washers on either side of that fitting. Try to tighten again if no luck id say one or both of them got marred up unfortunately creating that leak of yours...

Check that you have both gaskets there, one on top and one on bottom. For some models Toyota used a one piece gasket where the top and bottom circular gaskets were joined together by a strip of metal, making it easier to install.

Anyway, torque it the proper amount, and if it still leaks a lot, then something else is wrong. Maybe someone can post the torque for that year/engine.

The gasquets/washers in question are the ones that correspond with the high pressure line at the pump...you seem to be referring to something different??

Yeah, I might have been thinking about the gasket for the fuel filter, but I think on Tacomas the PS and fuel filter banjo bolts just have the normal circular metal gaskets. On Corollas some of them are like how I described.
