^^^^ Yes I've laughed. I LOVE Rain-X. You can't even tell its raining at night when it's applied correctly. I would highly recommend it.

I just tried Aquapel for the first time. Got 6 applicators for like $23 on Amazon. It lasts a lot longer than RainX. The beading characteristics are a little different than RainX. It's a little slower, but much better as far as durability goes. I like them both for different reasons. Aquapel goes on a lot thicker.

I think the blue stuff (standard washer fluid) is more harsh than the Rain-X washer fluid, because when I have seen that stuffed used, it always eats away the Rain-X treatment and you end up with a water-sheeting problem again.

I use Eagle One Wax As U-Dry on my windshield. Works better than Rain-X I think.

Good to know. Of course I bought a bottle of it before I posted. I will be taking it back ASAP. Thanks for the feedback.

Great to know. Meguires seems to be the trusted brand on TW. I've also noticed that Barret-Jackson promotes this brand as well.

I'm an Aquapel convert. It just goes and goes. 6 months isn't an unreasonable expectation. But I generally reapply after about 3 months just because I can. Durability is insane compared to rainX. It's like a fresh coat of wax that lasts and lasts. But it doesn't ever get that hazy appearance. And wiper chatter has been nonexistent. Try it. You'll like it.

I love rainX never had any issues with it. But I think I might check this stuff out when my bottle of RainX is empty.

Rain X works poorly. You have to drive over 65 for it to start working.

When rainX is applied correctly, after glass is properly decontaminated, I agree-- nice product. It just plain works as intended. But Aquapel is the next level. It does what rainX does, but does it better. It's sorta like Eddie Bauer khakis vs Carhartt work pants. They're both brown, and serve a purpose, but...

Oh, and you can get it on Amazon. It's like $23 for a six pack of applicators. One applicator does one windshield. Don't waste it on your side and rear glass. On those surfaces, rainX is fine. Or just use Duragloss Rain Repel cleaner or any other rainX type glass wash. Of course, if you don't mind spending the money, Aquapel can be used on all the glass. I don't, simply because it's about $4 bucks a pop.

I'm using McKee's glass coating. I've used Rain X in the past but I wanted something that would last longer. With that said, I applied McKee's to 3 cars, 2 garage queens and 1 outsider. The outsider lasted only 3 months and IDK why. The other 2 are still going strong. Others say it should last longer and maybe my application was not the best. I applied it again yesterday after claying and polishing and then IPA wipe. I also installed new wipers thinking the old, old wipers may have been an issue. Hopefully it will last longer this time.

I want to try the McKee's. But I've been so happy with the Aquapel, it's hard to imagine something better. I'll spring for it one of these days.
