I have a TruckCovers USA retractable tonneau. I ordered it with the Yakima rail system. After installing, I got the Yakima towers, landing pads and Core bars (rolled steel that hold 150 pounds each). I needed the RTT to sit below the top of the cab. Works perfectly. I can use my Cascadia Shasta RTT and still get good gas mileage while locking the tonneau.

Cool. I just had a thought..... if you put a SB rack on a LB and mount it as far forward as you can, would there be enough room to lift the rear most panel? Or for tonneau where you can lift the forward panel alone, if you mounted it all the way back?

    Definitely. They're 3/16" thick.

The short bed rack is 12" shorter than the long bed, so that would probably work.

But honestly, it's so easy to gain access through the tailgate....

Yeah, I was more thinking about the front panel. Access the rear from the tailgate and the front through the tonneau panel. IIRC, the front of the OEM one does not lift up alone. My truck has not come in yet so I have not looked at the OEM cover closely yet. Might make the aftermarket covers more attractive if that works.

The front panel of the factory cover is locked down by one bolt, so that panel doesn't lift up.

    As requested, pics.

Using 3 Yakima core rails (that's overkill, but hey). Each rail, which is rolled steel, can hold 150 pounds. The tent only weighs 150. The tent is a Cascadia Shasta Summit that I picked up during a TW group buy.

I got the Truck Covers USA ordered WITH the Yakima tracks. Bought the towers, landing pads and Core bars from Amazon. It can be a bit pricey, but it's such a nice setup. When I am not using the RTT, I can hoist it from the Yakima rails to my garage ceiling. Either I can lift the rails with the tent, or I can loosen those to hold my bikes and just lift the tent up.

    Hi all,
I've been researching for the past few months now and looking for bed racks/towers for my set up. Looking for a set up that will work with my Retrax cover on a 2014 DCLB. So far my choices are the mobtown or KDvoodoo set ups, The biggest concern for me is the gap between the bed rail and the retrax rack. The retrax mounts into my factory rail so there is only about a 1 inch gap for the bed rack mounts to mount to. So im just wondering how far those turn knobs stick out. I havent found anyong thats used either of these on a retrax.

Just wondering if anyone has input..or measurements for the mounts. Thanks!

We're actually supplying our with socket head bolts instead of knobs, for just that reason. So you're good to go.

Will the tall set up with the tonneau brackets be flush or above the roofline? I'm looking to put my skycamp on top so its going to stick over the roof about 9 inches so I need to make sure it wont hit the rear window.
Also do these racks come with adjustable crossbars? from the pics it doesnt look like it. (how far apart are the cross bars?
if the specs are right..time for me to order!

The tall rack is actually a couple inches below cab height.

Are the crossbars adjustable front and back? They look fixed? And what's the distance between the two? Gotta Make sure my rtt will fit. I believe he skycamp requires a minimum of 30 inches apart of the cross bars.

This is the approach I went with...
Truck cover USA with Yakima tracks and bars. Yakima bars didn't survive the first outing, so upgraded to 11g stainless with through bolts.
