Like a dumbass I disregarded what a few shops told me and went with stage five to save a few bucks over the stage six. Only difference being that adjustable damping the CDC value gets you.

I'd like to have a softer ride off road (higher speed too!). My only option is to add the CDC valving on my current setup.

First off...does that make a fairly significant difference off road? Ive had coilovers for on road cars and since the surface doesn't change much I never really adjusted them (partly why I didn't buy upgrade to them on my current set up).

Second...I've rebuilt plenty of downhill bike and motorcycle (dirt and road) suspensions. Is it possible to order the parts from Icon and do the swap myself? It's fairly expensive for them to do it. So it would save me some cash to do it myself.

On my rig I have the CDC upgrade with off the shelf shocks and it doesn't change the ride much, its definitely noticeable but it doesn't do much. I have mine set on "Soft" on and off road. You should check into getting them revalved, you could also throw in the CDC upgrade too at the same time. And yeah, you can rebuild them but some of ICON's parts are proprietary, specifically the adapter to charge them and the shims themselves.

I heard back from them. It's something they have to do and includes a rebuild. Now the question is...is the performance really worth 1000 bucks? (255 each).
