hey group! Just got me a set of morimoto HIDs was stoked to get them installed until I started looking at all the wiring and extra items that need mounted. Reaching out to the group here to see who all has completed an install and if they could provide some pictures of where it was mounted that would help me out a ton!

Looking forward to pics too. I installed my morimotos but just ziptied the relay/ballasts anywhere I could get them out the way. No a super clean install but I can't see them with the hood closed so who cares? ;)

I did mine as well...I went to home depot and bought some 10 pound strength Velcro. I then cut out pieces to fit on the side of my washer fluid tank, and the other to the side of my battery. I know that the HID ballasts get warm when on, but the Velcro is thick enough that it insulates these items from getting hot. That way if I have to move them, all I have to do is peel them off.

I would have to check, but I think I got my inspiration from you actually.

Does the Velcro hold tight to your plastic? I did that with my fuse block for my power wire to sound system and it eventually worked it's way off the plastic under the hood.

They are pretty sticky to me. I have had my ballasts on there for about 7 months with no issue. I think if you get the hardcore Velcro, it is significantly stronger all around.

I used 15# velcro and it is solid. I then used double sided 3M tape and zipties to secure the igniters. I riveted my relay harness towards the front of the truck by the battery. I wish the harness leads to the ballasts were a little bit longer. It would have made it easier to mount everything in a clean location.
