    Will this kit work on 3rd gens with push button start? Thinking about pulling the trigger on this. My truck got broken into about a month ago.

    Yes, this will work with push button start vehicles. Whether the vehicle shuts off when you open the door depends completely on the model vehicle you drive. All depends if the immobilizer bypass module has firmware with a "secure takeover procedure" for your model vehicle.

    It's also serious overkill unless you need the extended range remotes. Third gen PTS Tacomas are Remote-Start-Ready and you can simply add a DBALL2 and have remote start from your OEM keyfob.

    $40 XpressKit XKLOADER2 2nd Gen Computer Programming tool
    $29 XKloader2 (and possibly resell the XKloader2 when done with it), or @KB Voodoo sells pre-flashed DBALL2 kits.

    No takeover on 3rd gen PTS Tacomas. All remote starts will shut off when the door is opened. Not even the OEM units from Tundras or Corolla/Camry keep it running, and Toyota support claims that's by design.
