    @2015TRD Looks great man...again you guys are killing the pictures vs the ones I've taken haha, that first shot looks awesome.

    @clemsontaco I am looking into expanding into other configurations/vehicles as well, so I would like to say yes I will make something for the manual guys. It looks like the manual center console just has a couple of cup holders though and doesn't have a little random cubby to utilize - which I liked as I didn't tie up a cup holder in the process and there's a ton of cup holder phone mount options on the market already. I will look into it, but don't want to make any time-frame promises at this point. I have a couple other options I'm working on currently that I'm looking to get into peoples hands in the next month or so.

    I've had one of Tim's docks for my iPhone 6S for about two month and have had an opportunity to torture test it. I'm extremely happy and highly recommend the product. The only issue I experienced with it is one of my kids (he is 6'4", 240) knees would bump the dock out of position. Not a big deal as it easily moved back into place. I solved the problem with a couple pieces of 3M double-sided tape on the bottom of the dock. This is a high quality product and Tim is very easy to do business with.

    @crevier Thanks man, I appreciate it! Saw your introduction thread, I also went from a 2000 Ranger to my Tacoma. I've wanted a Tacoma since I was about 14, but could never afford one until I was 25 haha. When I decided to move from NJ to CA (and haul a 6x12 trailer across the country) I decided it was time. The ranger treated me well, I had 200k relatively painless miles on her before I got rid of it.

    @ccslappy Thanks for the great review, it is really gratifying to hear these responses! Also good to know that a bit of double sided tape can alleviate retention concerns with some of the bigger phone/cases, or in this case a rather large human sitting next to them. Hopefully he gets a football scholarship somewhere haha.

    @antsinyourpants Message sent my man.

    Thanks again guys,
    Tim

    @NV_Tacoma Good question. It doesn't look like they list dimensions on their site. If you have a set of calipers and can take two measurements we'll be in business. Another thing I noticed is the bottom bumper looks to be the widest part of the phone - so the pocket dimensions in the dock will need to clear that. I had this issue with an S7 Active where I didn't take this into account. The user ended up sanding a bit off the dock and reported back that it works great. Now I know what to look for though haha.

    yeah you just need to install 2 little nuts on the threads as it sits too low to go thru all the gears

    Thanks for getting back to me so fast! I'll get the measurements for you, probably not until tomorrow. I'll male sure to measure from the widest portion which is the bumpers on the corners. Just curious how long does it take and what does it cost?

    So, guys, I gotta ask. Now that you have this cool mount, and your phone is right there easy to see and use, what do you have running on it while driving? I've got a separate Garmin GPS on the left side of my windshield, and I really like it, so I don't need GPS. I've got a 32GB USB flash drive for music. So I'm looking for ideas.

    I love gauges and gizmos, even useless data like my current latitude/longitude, so I'm game for anything techie. I'm thinking of trying an app to listen to podcasts. I've already tried Android Auto but it doesn't add much to what I have.

    Ideas?

    Thanks for the reply Tim. Understood about there being a few options out there already for cup-holder mounts. I just haven't been able to find one that I like that is clean/simple. Your design for the automatics seems to fit both those criteria. I'd prefer not to tie up a cup holder either for a phone mount, but honestly there aren't many other options for mounting in the center console of the manuals

    Hi Scott,

    The phone that I use is actually a separate Noike 640 that is dedicated to the truck. I got it super cheap (Microsoft is dumping their phones), and pulled the sim card out of it. I use it to communicate with the bluetooth OBDII reader on my truck. From there, I get all the good guages the truck is missing and can read error codes. I can also tether the phone to my real cell phone for things like Waze (best traffic navigation program), weather and Internet info searches (via Cortana). I also keep my mileage and maintenance info on the phone. Not bad for a $40 phone from Best Buy.

    That sounds way cool. I have an OBD reader with the Automatic app running on my phone. But I love guages. What app do you use to do that? Any other apps to do what you're talking about?
