Depending on weather, I might be open to camping somewhere nearby the weekend of the Feb meet (Feb 18th/19th). I get off for President's Day the following Monday so it'd be a nice long weekend for me.

This is the one that you have right??
    Aww shit!!!! :woot:
It will probably get used for that a lot also! The GF said that she wouldnt buy it for me for that exact reason. She also said if i buy it im not allowed to use it on the roads while she is in the truck... we will see how long it takes her to start yelling at people through it! hahaha
Nice!! Wheels and tires or just the wheels?? I am try in to find a set of stock/steel rims to put some mud terrains on for when i go play. That way i dont have to run 35s all the time. Should have kept my stock rims..... but steel would be better overall.
Looks dope! Let me know if you want to cut some holes out to mount some lights... Im about to take mine to my step fathers shop to have him cut out some holes in mine for lights. Probably going to go with 4 pods up frond and 2 in the back... steel rivets and cheap Amazon LED pods should help deter theft...

Yeah i saw this too. Thinking about going as tickets are cheap and location is close'ish...
Come on down!!! I have a place for you to stay in Plano if you need one.

I believe the weekend will be April 8th, I have gotten the OK from the GF! Now i need to talk to some people that have been out there and find out a good spot to camp for a group of people. Right now the polls are showing 10 people are interested...
The GF and I are thinking about going camping this weekend at Lake Ray Roberts, if the weather is nice. We need to get a couple trips in before we go to Big Bend, she is used to camping in a trailer so we need to figure out what her needs are for camping. Im also interested to find out how long i can keep her out in the wild before she 'needs' a shower. If you find out mineral wells is nice let me know, i was just out there last weekend but i have never camped out there. I will find out more info on Texoma camping and try to set something up.

I just had the tire shop put my 265's on the new wheels. All in, it only cost me $180 for the wheels and install. I'll probably keep my steelies intending to put some MT's on there. In actuality they'll probably sit in my garage for years untouched like the rest of my car part hoard.

Took the GF to Ray Roberts 2 weekends ago, for some of the same reasons. Just found out my cousin's ring ceremony at A&M is April 8th, so that "interested" list may be down to 9

Pics? I have check a couple of times on mine and I got nothing. I know a had a few branch drag across it but I can't see anything....even in the clear coat. Are they deep or just clear coat scratches?

Look like clear coat, may try and buffem out with a ultra fine cut polisher. From the fron fender down. Then two on the front door and 1 long on on rear door on right side

Yes, thats an f150 in the reflection

If they don't buff out, just wear them as a badge of honor. After the first couple good scratches it probably gets easier to accept the trail damage. At least that's what I'll tell myself.

I didn't get any scratches out there just lots of red dirt. Even after a few drive thru car washes and an hour or so with detailer and micro fiber towels, I'm still trying to wash the East Texas off my truck.

I'll stick to getting stuck in the mud. I don't think I'll ever be okay with pinstripes lol

    Truck stuff
It doesn't look to bad. Hopefully it will buff out without any problems. Looks about as bad as mine is, @c4lvinnn is going to detail my truck soon so hopefully he can pull them! :fingerscrossed:

@Zac of all trades Is the group 10 people or 10 trucks? As far as the date for BB, IMO the weekend of the first would be better than the 8th. I'm down for either date, assuming I can manage it with work, but the 1st is closer to the New moon on 3/28 for a darker night sky and to see more stars! I think a good Back country camp site is Terlingua Abajo. 3 camp sites very close together that can have 2 vehicles at each(6 total) with up to 8 people per site(24 people total). On the way in to those 3 sites theres also Octillo Grove which can also have 2 vehicles and 8 people. I dont think there is a larger grouping next to each other than Terlingua. I explored a lot of the sites when I went in November and of them all I thought Terlingua would be great with a big group. Its secluded from the main road that the access is off to get to both sites. I'm kinda surprised Terlingua is stated to only have 2 vehicles per site because the area it is in is big, I would have guessed 4 vehicles per site or more.
