The KC HiLiTES Gravity LED G4 Fog lights have now been approved for use on the 3rd Gen Tacomas! These lights are direct plug and play with trucks that came stock with the fog light option (including bezels, wiring harness, switch). These are designed as an upgrade from your stock fogs, but are still SAE street legal. They are available in either clear or amber.

I saw this in instagram yesterday, so stoked to finally have a proper amber solution! On my purchase list when I find a Canadian dealer.

What is the benefit of these over others? I am not trying to throw you under the bus but coming in at a higher price than other proven good fog lights is never a good idea. Just discussing it because this isn't a for sale post.

These have less lumens than ones available by The Retrofit Source(morimoto) KC 866 lumens vs. TRS ~1200 lumens per fog light
They look cheap and nobody likes chrome
cost is quite a bit more than others
The beam patterns aren't really impressive but it could just be the pictures.

The only good thing about them compared to the XB LED fog lights is the warranty of an unrealistic 23 years. The reason I say this is even the TRS warranty of 10 years is unrealistic in the fact that who knows if these will still even be made after that much time, and who knows if anyone would actually warranty them even after that much time. It sounds good on paper.

This output picture shows a lot more ground and ditch lighting than your pictures, but maybe the pictures aren't showing the full potential.

I can tell when my fog lights aren't on, they fill in the gap in front of the truck and light up the corners. I have complete lighting from A pillar to A pillar.

Awesome! I really like the yellow.

Do you have any special pricing or discounts to offer?

Hey Pete, let me try to hit on everything you mention. First off, thank you for the questions! I understand the fact that you love your fogs from TRS and that's great that you have a product you love and are showing your support for a company that you're heavily involved with.

Your assessment that the lights look cheap and that no one like chrome just isn't fair. Is the look subjective to people's own personal taste? Sure. I'm not trying to burst your bubble here, but we know what we are doing when it comes to lighting and that's why we use chrome reflectors. Same with Baja Designs and other great companies that manufacture lights. (Not to say TRS isn't, I purchased my Morimoto retrofit kit from them for my truck). By using the larger reflectors combined with our GRD technology, we are able to get the most control out if the light rather than a forward facing diode. We also measure our lights in a number of ways, including lux in addition to lumens as we don't think looking at raw lumens only is simply the best way to gauge usable light. The assumption made that because we use a chrome reflector means our fogs are cheap is simply wrong. I assure you they're made with the highest quality components, many of which we make ourselves.

For the beam pattern, if you're looking specifically at my personal photos let me make a clarification that I should have stated already and did not. Those are mine as stuffed into a Pelfreybilt bumper, which has a very slender opening that is actually smaller than these fogs are meaning much of the pattern is cut off. Those photos are also taken from about 8 feet away during the day time and were meant more to show the color. That said, if you'd like me to go remove them and take some photos from further away at night time, I'd be more than happy to do so.

Finally for our warranty. Is 23 years a long time for a warranty? Yes. Does it sound good on paper? Yes. Is it good in reality too? Yes. Maybe the LEDs won't last 23 years, maybe they will. But the point is that we stand by our product for the entire duration of that warranty period. We do what it takes to make our customers happy especially through this warranty! We have been a company for over 46 years now meaning we have outlasted our warranty twice now.

Like I said, no offense taken! Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help ya out in anyway.

Unfortunately, I do not. However, my roommate has stock fogs on her 2009 still. If you'd like I can try and take a photo comparing my ambers vs her clear stockers?

We are actually going to be doing a Valentine's Day sale (starting today!) but I haven't yet made the thread. But PM me anyway!

Shoot me a PM if you don't mind! I am swamped today and probably won't get to that thread. Plus I don't have the marketing assets yet that'll make for a nice and pretty thread haha

Lights look good OP. Not everyone is looking to put a cube off-road light into their fogs and this looks like another great option for those people. I'm currently running Baja Designs in my fogs and I love them, but they have no place being used on the street where as these look like they retain on road functionality. The price point seems little high considering competition but it looks like the mounting kit is integrated into the housing as opposed to having to buy a separate pair just to mount them.

Yep, you are exactly correct! You nailed two big points about our lights.

Also, one of these days I'll make it up to Phoenix and wheel with you and Jamie and Pat and crew (I'm in Tucson)! I keep meaning to and can never find a time, but it'll happen soon.
