Hi folks, I did my best to search out this problem without success so I'm gonna give it a try here. I'm an experienced Tacoma owner having owned several over the past several years. I just wrecked my beloved 09 sport and i think that the insurance co will total it so I'm looking at an 06 offroad model in great shape.
I drove it today and discovered that when put in 4 low the light continues to blink, it definitly is engaged in 4low and driven for a few hundred yards making turns and tried reversing and the light stays blinking. I also engaged the locker and it worked fine but that light remained blinking also. Any help would be most appreciated as i am stretching my budget with this purchase and can't really afford an expensive repair. The 4 hi seems to work great. Sorry for the wordy post but i wanted to be specific as I have found many similar posts

I'd have to say the sensor isn't sensing it being in 4L.

What did the person selling it say about the light blinking?

I didn't mention it yet, they are a small used car dealer and i suspect that they don't know that the or is a higher priced version of the tacoma, hence the good deal.

I believe that the frame and the rear leafs were just replaced, maybe a sensor got knocked loose?

Get it inspected by a mechanic you trust. Fully.

    Trust me, it's worth it.

Thanks Kingtaco81!!! This would be very doable for me and very well could be the issue. Unfortunatly Orezona this dealer is too far away for me to get it to my mechanic.
