    I have currently:
    • 1/4" impact driver
    • 1/2" drill
    • Sawsall
I like these tools and I am going to expand my collection but I would like others reviews of products they have and use regularly.

Review - 1/4" impact driver RECOMMENDED
+ I have owned this for 4-5 years now with the original batteries.
+ I have found this to have great hand/ holding feel with buttons and switches where I would expect them to be.
+ I especially like the bit holder and magnetic screw holder for easy access to parts when in tight spaces, or removing parts.
+ Useful for not only driving screws/lags but also for automotive nuts and bolts.
    - I have found that some other brands have lights facing where you will be working, this tool lacks that feature.
    Review - 1/2" drill RECOMMENDED

Review - Sawsall NOT RECOMMENDED (unless the negatives are fixed on newer models)
+ I have owned this for 3-4 years now with the original batteries.
+ I have found this to have great hand/ holding feel with buttons and switches where I would expect them to be.
    - I have found that the Anti-Vibe to be lacking, if using for 20-40 cuts a day my wrist will hurt for one to two days afterwords.
    - The battery contacts are really poorly placed, they have bent and broken on me.
    Review - Batteries Li-Ion RECOMMEND
+ Good use and charging life/time.
    - Batteries don't have a level indication, so when you grab a battery off the work bench, it could be dead or nearly dead.

I am seeking others opinions/ reviews on the following items:
    1. 18v cordless mower P# 1111/1120
    2. 18v cordless string trimmer P# 2080/2030/2210
    3. Hand-vac P# 317/714K
    4. 3 Speed impact wrench P# 261
    5. Portable fan P# 3310/3320
    6. Right angle drill P# 241

The hand vac works good, use it frequently around the house.

I don't have much trimming, or do it all that often, so this one does the job fine.

I use the leaf blower for clearing the snow off my truck, really handy.

The work light is really good for camping.

Each new item comes with a battery, so I didn't have to bother buying a bigger one or more batteries, so that's nice.

Review - Multi-tool attachment (oscillating tool head) RECOMMENDED
+ I have found this to have great hand/ holding feel with buttons and switches where I would expect them to be.
+ I especially like the magnetic holder for holding parts when changing out cutting heads.
+ I like that this tool comes with a LED that faces towards the working area.
    - I don't like that the tool doesn't have an on-board storage for the allen wrench like the sawsall does.
~ I was not sure on how useful this tool would be but I have found that it is really a very handy tool, I had to make some square cuts in existing wood framing and clean up uneven sawsall cuts that were not square. This tool can cut in, and make very small thickness cuts with accuracy and ease! I was originally looking into the Milwaukee Tool 18vOscillating tool but went with the Ryobi based on price even though I am invested in both tool brands I truly didn't know if this tool would work as I expected.

    Review - Batteries Li+ 4Ah RECOMMEND
+ Good use and charging life/time.
+ Batteries have a level indication, improvement over stock batteries! Now when you grab a battery off the work bench I know how much charge is remaining.
~ Bought on an impulse because they were in the clearance section for $89 for a 2-pack!

Just wanted to chime in here, Home Depot has a promo where if you buy a combo of two tools/batteries you get a free charger and extra battery. I picked up the 1/2" impact gun, two batteries and the promo freebie charger/battery. I especially liked the socket driver rather than the typical quick disco which would have required adapters to work with my existing tool set. The impact is supposed to put out 300 lb-ft of torque which will be nice, and it has 3 speeds and LED lights. I'll let you know my experiences with it when I use it to replace my LBJs.

EDIT: THIS IS IMPORTANT. If you want to get the FULL 300 lb-ft torque from this, you have to use the 4Ah Lithium+ high capacity batteries!!

OP - the portable fan works pretty good. My wife goes to a lot of dog training / events in the summer, nice to have something to help keep the pooches cool.

I have the leaf blower also , it does OK but really doesn't have a lot of power .

If that old, you must have the P514/P515 model, not the one you have pictured above ↑ :

The newer P516 is much improved:

You are correct! I haven't had a chance to try out the new model but yes the older one is the one I have. Thanks for the correction.

so I tried to rotate my tires the other week, impact wouldn't even get my lug nuts off. Find out later that I need to use the giant batteries to actually get the 1/2" impact to output the advertised 300 ft lbs.

Does anyone want to trade batteries? I have 2 standard lithium batteries (compact) and I really only need ONE of the 4aH batteries (giant ones with the battery meter on it).

    Thanks.

    @Toyko Joe ?

They do sell the bare impact wrench, but they also sell the same impact wrench with the 4Ah battery for the same price.

Any chance of returning your bare tool, and getting the kit?

I just bought a 3 piece kit on sale @ HD recently. Needed batteries for an older Dewalt and the price wasn't much different for just the batteries. So far so good, used them all and can't really complain yet. Hope it works for years to come.

It may be a long shot, but if you call Home Depot, they may be able to work out something with you, if you explain you didn't know about the kit.

They seem to accommodate me well when an issue arises.

Like call corporate? or go to the store? I would seriously be okay just trading two batteries for one. It's 90% useless if it can't break a 100ft/lb lug nut with my current batteries.

I've done both. With a store, you may deal with a manager who is having a bad day. Corporate appears to be more lenient.

hmm, so what normally happens when I call corporate? Ship them back these batteries and get new ones in the mail? Or show some sort of coupon/return thing to the local store?

Not sure what would actually happen, if anything.

I've had corporate mail me something to resolve an issue. Other times, it was handled at the store level.

Just have to call, and see what can be done.

Also, I've seen items returned without packaging. Not me, though, I tend to keep packaging until the warranty expires.

I bought the larger batteries with the intention of buying the battery operated lawnmower, I have not done that yet but have found that the 4aH batteries are always full when I need to use them. With Fathers day coming up Ryobi tools are at a great price! http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-ONE-18-Volt-High-Capacity-LITHIUM-Battery-2-Pack-P122/204321540 <-- well worth the $99
