If one were to get a ucon from underdog, is there any benefit to having the maf sensor calibrator too?

 

Pretty sure they'd fight each other a bit? I'm betting URD would recommend the UCON and disable the MaF Cal

No. It would inhibit the accuracy of the superior unit.

So I'm getting my Y-Pipe, pulley, fuel pump and gauges installed at Tandem Automotive in Ft Worth. They installed Harrop elockers on my FZJ80. This is the text I got from the mechanic: "First gear is just a glorified tire liquefier." They also reset my tranny because I was having issues with 4-5 hang and hitting the limiter on 1-2, and 2-3.

Yeah, i chopped my exhaust cause i got tired of smelling burnt rubber everytime the exhaust got up to temp and heated the rubber on it.

 

That's the annoying kind. Fine line.

 

How do they reset the transmission

 

Using a diagnostic tool (same kind that read check engine codes) you can reset the computer learning of the trans. It's coverered earlier in this thread, but I didn't search for it.

 

You can also just take the cables off the battery for like half an hour to do the same thing IIRC

ThomasMore66, have you got truck back from Tandem yet? I have been looking for a shop to take mine too for some work and wondered if they were good to go. Glad to see you are finally getting your pully installed, your going to love it! I'm already wanting the 2.7 and the meth kit now, especially when this Texas weather hits in summer time! I really just want the 7th and Ucon but might just do this until we can get the Ucon.

 

They have been great to work with. They are a small shop and only work on Toyotas. Just be flexible on timing.

So Pablo has a history of building tuner cars and 4x4's. He's always excited to get something different. For me the location is a little awkward since I live north of DFW airport and work in Dallas. I've never Ubered so much.
