7 months now. Fuse has never blown or anything either. The fuses are in place to protect the wiring harness, so if whatever you do isn't blowing a fuse, the wiring is most likely okay.

I have trouble with people flashing me with stock bulbs. I cannot imagine what I would get with brighter ones.

If you are not lifted and you are getting flashed at, they need to be adjusted. As stock bulbs are as bright as a candle.

Here is why LEDs should not be run in a halogen reflector:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

If you are looking for a stock wattage halogen upgrade, I'd suggest:
    Philips Xtreme vision: http://www.rallylights.com/h4-9003-hb2-philips-x-treme-vision-xenon-100-bulbs-pair.html
    Osram nightbreaker unlimited: http://store.candlepower.com/fcocoosnibrp2.html
    Volsa +100: http://store.candlepower.com/64205.html

If you are looking for maximum output without changing your headlight assemblies to projectors:

If you want to run LEDs checkout Philips H4 LEDs, they are the only ones I'm aware of from a name brand manufacture that claim to be designed to work in a halogen reflector:
    http://www.xenondepot.com/h4-philips-12953BWX2-LED-Bulb-p/12953bwx2.htm
I did a writeup comparing the Philips LEDs here:
