I used 2inch one hole conduit straps, incase you wanted to know. They also some in handy to hold other things as well.

I tried out a home made in shell bike rack to go camping a while back. The thought was that it would save weight as the bike rack that attaches to my hitch is pretty heavy... It is more work/time to setup and take out the bikes, but it is an option...

I did the same thing when I had a Can-Back soft top, and it was a bitch. I ended up putting the front of the bikes in first, and kept the rear tires out resting on the open tailgate. The bikes went in until the seats hit the topper.

New addition to the truck today. Picked up a hand built Tacoma Bed Storage Drawer system. Needs a little touching up but other than that, we cut a few side pieces to make it fit just right. Next I need a bedslide.

Platform isn't as flat as I'd like but with weight when laying on it, it's fine.

pull it off and lay down more bulb seal, pull the rail caps off and throw down a thick bead of caulk, and build up the caulk at the front of the bed rails where it drops down behind the cab then set the cap back down on it. lots of work, but that should take care of it!

I bought a used Century shell, had it painted to match my truck and I took it to my local camper shell dealer to have them reseal it. They used the flat 1 1/2" (My best guess) wide flat camper shell foam on all 3 sides, multiple layers on the front to make up the front gap and I don't have any leaks? Maybe I am just lucky that doesn't leak.
