I think this is the antenna. Makes a huge difference.

why crawl box and not an atlas? You're still going to need to have drivelines built

 

Am I wrong? Comes out to be about the same price. And I think there's an atlas option with 5:1 reduction. And from what I know an atlas is way stronger if you're going to play in the rocks.

No i was serious, I wanted to know more. I just googled the Atlas case, it looks nice!

 

So the crawlbox may give you more reduction because it's 4.7:1 stacked on top of your transfer case but that gear reduction isn't worth anything (to the best of my knowledge) if your tcase breaks. An atlas is about the same price and supposedly super strong

Not sure if this is the best route since you lose the stock low range. With the 6-speed, slightly larger than 33" tires, and stock 3.73 gears, 4 high is useless in most off-road situations. I'll hopefully get it back after switching to 4.56 axle gears. 1:1 and 1:4.7 is a huge gap. If I get more use out of 4hi with the regear, this may work for me. Dual cases are a whole 'nother animal...

With 35's, it's unlikely your going to break the chain or gear driven transfer cases. CV's and axles will go first, I think.

 

Case for case an atlas is double the price, plus driveline mods no matter what, why the hell would you run an atlas and not upgrade your drivelines. For that matter why run an atlas with stock toy axles. Also no way that big bitch is fitting under the stock floor so there's tons of mods there. Stick with an inchworm box, direct fit, uses a stock mount, in on 37s and 1 tons and it's the last things worried about breaking

That just replaces your stock case, still not dual cases, go with a "crawl box"

 

Yeah, I was thinking of going with that instead of duals. Really simplifies things. No driveline mods. Only worried about the gap between 1:1 and 1:4.7. It really depends on how much I can get out of 4 Hi after the axle regear.

Talked to Gadget on the phone today and pulled the trigger on a UCON-EMS set up. See if I can get some time when it comes in to install. Otherwise I'll have to use the other half of the day I took off to get inked by @bayareataco to try and get it done.
