All - This is my first post and I've looked for specific advice on cutting and tire sized. Question is I just had some KO2's installed and I'm having some issues. The rear tires have no problems, the front is a different story. At a full turn you can tell its rubbing. I know I have two options here and I'm not a huge fan of either. 1. Get smaller tires, would 275/70/17 fit? 2. Start to cut. Question is I don't even know where to begin with something like this. I suppose if it were some small trimming I could do it, but i cannot honestly assess how much I will need to trim. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I love this tire and would like to keep them.

If you cut it will start the rust.

Taller and skinnier. That's what I ran to prevent this sort of problem.

Don't know if that's the type of advice you're looking for.

Did you get an alignment after the lift? Did they adjust caster to give you the most clearance? What position is the LR UCA adjusted to?

Yup...i have 285 70 17. And did some trimming, just do what looks right a little a a time, you really do not need to cut the body, but if you do take it to some one that will do it right, they will cut weld and smooth it out and if they are any good they will hit it with some primer and black paint...no rust

Cab mount chop! Look it up, it should solve that rubbing at full turn.

What caster setting have you found to be the sweet spot?

Appreciate it guys. I'm going to see if they can adjust the UCA. Hopefully that will solve it.

I had the same problem so went with 265/75/16 BFG KO2.
Problem solved, also have 887 with LR UCA.
was able to use mud guards again with no issues.

you can mark your tires with white chalk and find out where it rubs. I wouldn't cut anything on your truck, just go down a tire size.

From the looks of the 2nd picture, it looks like that's exactly what he needs.
