Recently got my truck back from its motor swap. 04 engine in a 96. My battery is on its way out and was wondering what everyones using now a days. Going to stay away from optima as I hear they're garbage now. Anyone use an Odyssey battery?

I've been really impressed by my Diehard Platinum which came in the truck when I bought it a little over a year ago. I guess they are out of production now though

I'm currently saving up to get another vehicle. Wanna another vehicle if I ever have to work on my truck and don't have time to finish what needs be done.

 

Gonna be look at this for my truck real soon. Really need to put a cooler on the tranny before it's to late.

I like the interstate batteries. I had one that lasted 4-5 years without a problem. Diehard isn't that bad. Got a corolla sitting at the house been over 3 years and drive the car at least once a month. Battery starts the car right up.

Don't need to save up. Get a beater in good mechanical shape. Thats what I did.
I purchased a '91 Civic HB that needed lot of cosmetic work, but ran well, for $700.
Fixed it up and sold it for $2000 3 years later.

 

Nice tent. We took Tacoma camping too, different style of camping though. More like glamping with wife.

 

Hmm never occurred to me that moisture would be an issue. Never heard it mentioned before. Are they typically reliable, as far as keeping out excessive moisture?
Also, this picture doesn't really look like your truck to me. Still badass though.

I love seeing these trucks pull big things like that. It looks funny, in a good way.

 

It isn't common when you keep the tarp on them. Frank's RTT lives outside literially year round unless im working on him. Never had an issue.

Where an issue can arrive is if you have to close the tent when it is wet from rain/dew/snow and then you don't get a chance to open it back up to let it dry out. Then Molding can happen.

As long as you open it up to dry within 2-3days you'll be fine.

 

Sounds pretty simple to avoid then. Explains why I've never heard of it before.
