I just picked up a JBJ Nano 24. Removed the back sump wall and black sticker. Bought a Fluval U2 filter system, will be buying a small skimmer, and doing a nice LED conversion. Going to do Seahorses and some coral when it gets cycled in.

So we moved and I had to break my tanks down... and we have been in the new house for about 2-3 months and still no tank... the baby on the way kinda takes all the money... but I want to set my 5 gallon back up... when I broke it down I have the dwarf hair grass going good! If I get it up and running I will plant it for a month or 2 and then maybe add some freshwater shrimp and guppys or a betta... we will see if the boss (wife) lets me lol

Moving, so I need to break down my 29 gallon freshwater tank. We have been here 8 years, and I set it up with some Danios to start and added some Australian Rainbows the first year we were here. The 2 rainbows are still going strong, it's a shame to let them go, but they can't last much longer anyway, can they?

My daughter wants the tank for her rats, so I may do saltwater next time around. Depends on whether there is a good spot for a big tank at the new place. Thinking 100 gallon or so would be the smallest I would try.

I started watching DIY King on YouTube a month ago.. I kind of want to start a small tank eventually just to see where it goes. If I like it I may just have to get some black diamond sting rays once I become good at it. - very unlikely though..

I miss the peaceful viewing and aesthetics of having aquariums.......I do not miss the stress of all those creatures depending on me to keep them alive and happy, the water bills & not having more free time to do other things. It kinda took over life to an unacceptable level. Maybe if I had just stuck to having 1 and not 6..........

Dig on seeing what everyone else has going on. I never took pics of mine but did make a video of tanks with music soundtrack - FISH TV. Even did stupid DJ comments like a radio station here and there. When we moved and started having water bills a couple turned into lizard tanks with just sand, rocks and throwing in june bugs/crickets. Got boring fast, lol. And they went away.

Awesome tanks and pics! Been wanting to build a nano reef aquarium for years. Hoping to finally take the plunge next year! This is making it even harder to wait!

This is my reef tank that i keep on my desk at work. I have been the caretaker for an aquarium exhibit at a local museum for almost 8 years. Ive met some amazing people, gone on countless behind the scenes tours of different facilities etc. Ive learned so much over the years about saltwater aquariums, and set this one up to be as easy to maintain as possible. The funny thing is I have tried freshwater tanks with plants before, and I have a hard time with those. Yet, with reef tanks, I can grow so much coral that I literally give it away sometimes. I get asked ALL THE TIME "is saltwater hard? Im scared to try it". My answer is usually along the lines of "its not that its hard, theres just a lot more things you can screw up, and when you do, it'll cost you". I love saltwater tanks and don't think i'll ever not have one. Its quite literally my life. 20171011_143510.jpg
