Was there any pieces of wood or large semi-flat rocks around. Sometimes you can place another solid object in between the frame and the jack to get the lift you need. For lifted trucks though a new jack is a must! HiLift is often the jack of choice because they're so versatile, but you have to make sure you have good lifting points or the right attachments for it. It can be difficult to find a good lift point on the front of many modern vehicles that doesn't leave lasting damage afterward.

I have found this attachment to be very useful.

Doesn't lift your jack up much either...

Not interested in raising the jack.....Interested in giving it a firm base. I carry a tall enough jack WITHOUT blocks.

I have always carried a piece of scrap 2x12 for that because it can also be used to stuff in a hole under the tire for added traction. Aluminum might work for that, but I haven't tried it so I'm not sure.

LED tall lights, locking gas cap, light paint work, detailing, and I just started a custom stereo install.

I'm finding more space for a sub enclosure in my double cab by sectioning the passenger side plastic insert. I needed to keep the drivers side plastic insert complete for my computer bag for work.

The main piece is glued together, and now I need to fine tune, bondo, and paint. More to come...

So my 2012 sr5 4x4 access cab didn't come with fog lights. So I got some rigid amber fogs and bought the matching ends to the rigid lights and wired them into the quick disconnect connectors. I then had to buy an oem relay and an oem fog light switch.

Now I have rigid amber fogs in my pelfreybilt bumper. IMG_8521.jpg

I know this was last week but 'reusing every washer' is probably your problem. The crush washers should be replaced each time.

I didn't do a write up. But the only thing I've done that is different than most is how I mounted the compressor. I used a Viair 95900 mounting bracket to move the mounting point from the bottom to the side. Once I get the tank and lines installed, I'll take more picture and put the mini-write up into the OBA mega thread.

The same shit everyone else has.
After some research, I found out the oem jack should look like this fully raised.

    28B9665B-54FE-41B8-BAF9-62C5A5B5F1B2_zps_4fc004f51f89f343da1425032a9abd2d69a6cd6a.jpg

Mine would only extend 1 tier.

After a good soaking of wd40, a few well placed hammer blow, and a quick spin with a 3/8" impact gun, mine now extends fully. It was full of rust but now works flawlessly.

I wish I would thought to check the jack to make sure it was functional. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

    Fuckin eh

The white and red "decal" came off at the carwash so I painted them on. As soon as it dries I'm gonna clear coat the whole thing. I've had it on for about 2 months and the mounting hardware was rusted, a lot. I sanded it down with the dremel and repainted. Tacoma attracts rust on everything.

Got the flush mount LED lights wired up. Took about an hour to get it all done. Tapped into the PS tail light on the red wire.
