I also have the Shasta. She's a beast, but I don't take it down often. I don't have a shell, just a bed rack, so I can use my tailgate as a halfway setting point. Maybe you could do the same with yours. Once you do it once or twice, you'll find the best method. But, in the end, you just have to pull up your sleeves, eat your Wheaties, and lift the joker up there.

so question, do you already have bolts in the Prinsu before sliding the tent up there? I assume you lift the tent slightly over the bolts? idk maybe I just need to get the CVT book out and read it haha

No. I put the bolts in the tent rails after I have it on the rack. It's much easier to get it generally positioned, then lift up the corners of the tent to slide the bolts into the rail on the bottom of the tent.

EDIT - also, you don't put any bolts in the Prinsu rack. The bolts slide in the mounting rail on the bottom of the tent. Then the bolts go on either side of one of the extrusion crossbars on the prinsu. Then slide the mounting plate up, put nuts on, tighten, go camping.

ahhh, I thought I saw holes in the "middle" of my tent where I would thread bolts into. maybe I'm wrong...

I don't have any pics myself, but google revealed this. This is exactly what your CVT will look like. Bolts slide in the rail with threads facing the ground. Then that plate goes on, then the nuts. There are also self-tapping screws that come with the tent (4 of them). These are inserted at the end of the rails to fully tighten the mounting rail to the base of the tent. It stops weird vibrations you'll get when driving.

It might take you 20-30 minutes to mount it, if that. The longest part is equally tightening all 8 nuts up. The rest is super fast and simple. Good luck and enjoy!

Of coarse your rails will not stick out like these. Since your tent rails will be running perpendicular to the Prinsu rails they should be the exact width of the tent. That is assuming you will be opening the tent to the side. Your tent instructions will talk about the different options of mounting the rails. I hope they shortened the ones in the photo!

Anyone know of some bright, weatherproof LED inserts that would fit in the slots of the bars? I'd light to make or buy a 3rd brake light kit that can fit in the slots or attach in a clean way. Kind of like this...

Right now I'm looking at trying to mount an existing product like this...

    Any ideas?

Not entirely sure of what you're after. But I would think something like this would slide in the slots on the top/bottom of the extrusion bars. You would need to wire them to the battery, or into the 3rd brake light, but that shouldn't be a problem. I don't think LEDs would overload the fuse for the brake light. https://www.amazon.com/Triangle-Bul...&sr=8-1&keywords=LED+weather+proof+12v+strips

I need some ideas on how to mount a 4 gallon Rotopax onto my Prinsu Toprac. I would like to mount it width-wise at the rear of the rack and supported by the last two crossbars. Alternatively I can mount it length-wise between the awning and Treds.

Does anyone here get a response from emailing Prinsu direct? I have sent a couple messages in regards to how close the front wind deflector should fit to the roof and have gotten no response.

I have but I've also found that PMing @zscott on here was a little faster, for me at least.

As far as how close the wind deflector should fit to the roof? Mine touches the roof.
