EOTechs are a pain to get right. I returned one of my EOTechs when I saw they were refunding at full MSRP during that whole cold weather distortion lawsuit. Took the money and got another Aimpoint micro.

Where do you live again? I'll be seeing a few NorCal peeps this weekend and can hand it off to whoever is closest to ya.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of EOTechs at all. Aim Point makes some high quality stuff, they do make some decently priced entry optics as well.

Vortex is also good @LTDSC you cannot beat their warranty.

Who are you meeting up with? If it's East Bay or close enough I can take it to @Iggy when I drive up there either this weekend or sometime soon

Nice I was able to fit 2 of those over the seatbelt area near my ear. The cord has a 90*bend and wouldn't plug into my mobile unit so I had to get one of these

Yeah they are. I'm gonna cheap out on the magnifier and get the Vortex knock off of the Eotech G33. Cant justify spending 500$ on a sight I use a couple times a year

Yeah, that would be hard to regulate. We use all that hippy stuff (Ecover, 7th Generation, etc.) in our house and have for years. They make some cool water storage systems with plastic grids and pond liners. Dig a pit, install heavy liner, and put plastic structural grid inside. Think of it like a bunch of small milk crates stacked on top of each other. Grid is load bearing, so you can put a patio over the top of the system. Then add a decorative endless waterfall to the system to prevent stagnation. No worries about a tank collapsing.

Yeah, what Jason said. Black water vs. grey water.

Little bit of poop in the grey water if you wash your ass properly.

Managed the installation of hundreds of reclaimed water irrigation systems over the last 2 decades. More prevalent in the last decade. Purple pipe, valves, sprinklers, and valve boxes are the only difference, aside from some crazy pipe routing around domestic water lines. Architects are designing with "salt tolerant" plants, but still haven't completely figured it out. If the water is leaching below the root zone, then the golf course irrigation is not managed properly or they have a low distribution uniformly percentage. But they also recommend over- irrigating to leach the salts below the root zone. Tricky situation.

Golf courses use between 500k and 1 million gallons per day in the summer, so reclaimed water makes sense if managed properly, with some side effects. Maybe cut it with some domestic water? Only issue there is potential cross- contamination. Nothing a holding tank and air gap couldn't fix.

Grey water doesn't have fecal & urine and is usually used for toilet flushing. I've only managed 2 projects that used it for landscape irrigation. One used the sink water pumped from a collection tank, and the other (UCSF Benihoff) used captured condensation from the AC units. Much more expensive than a reclaimed water system that is part of the municipal utility system. Not safe for drinking and never pumped into the buildings (AFAIK).

On a domestic level, it makes sense to set up a tank/ recirculating system, use it to store rain water, and utilize grey water in the summer. Maybe cut it with some domestic water. I plan on doing this at some point.

Now would probably be the time to install a system. Prices go up in drought years. We have other priorities right now that are mostly Tacoma related...
