    So, the steel wheels seem to be popular for the FJ Cruiser and offroading. Any reason why?

    Strength? Maybe the wheels getting rock rash isn't as big of a deal as expensive aluminum or beadlocks getting scarred up? Who knows?

    They are stronger, don't really care if they get rock rash. And if you bend one it can be hammered back into place on the trail.
