Yes, SET & GST are huge. I work for a company owned by the same family that owns the later. Outside of those 2 distributors and plant locations everything else comes into distribution centers by rail and TLS handles logistics with their contracted carriers. At those distribution centers the only time damages are repaired is if they are major. Then they are taken offsite to a local Toyota dealer body shop and the repairs are done. Depending on the severity of the damage the unit is either returned to the distribution center and shipped to the dealer, sent to a regional office for company use, sent to auction or crushed. All minor repairs are handled at the dealer. Accessories & detailing are not done at distribution centers. The process isn't as complicated as you may think.

I guess it may depend on how slimy the dealership is, but if its not what you ordered you are entitled to get your deposit back, hence the reason for a contract. I had one ordered and when it came in I went to look at it and had a feeling it just was not the right time to buy. Got my deposit back with no fuss and still have a good relationship with the salesman and service department. They had a buyer lined up for that truck before I left the lot that day.

That's because SET operates 2 VPC's (vehicle processing centers) in Commerce, GA & Jacksonville, FL. Yes, they process vehicles, add accessories and clean them before shipping. Actually read my previous post.
