Just thinking about getting a roof rack on tracks for my long bed ARE canopy. I see most of the track lentghts are 42, 54, or 60" lengths. What are others running for track lengths. Do I go with longest possible to maximize adjustibility. Will eventually be using it for a 11 foot paddle board.

I see both Thule and Yakima have tracks in those lengths. Just wondering what other lengths everyone is running.

My only suggestion is to mount the tracks as far back as you can on the cap. When you have a load resting on the rack and the ground, you want to make sure that it (the load) clears the top edge of the cap. Hope that makes sense.

Yep, go long if you are going to be putting long loads on the racks. If you will be adding bike racks, cargo boxes, etc. it's easy enough to add a third bar to split the difference for mounting.
