i searched for this but couldnt find it.

has anyone noticed alot of clicking and grinding noises with their gauge cluster. mostly on startup but it lasts about 5-6 seconds once you start it up. i never noticed it before. just in the past few weeks.

its not a huge deal but just asking if its common in case it gets worse and eventually ill loose the cluster functions.

yeah like the guage cluster itself.

my 05 mustang gt had a tsb for the cluster sweeper motor making noises (i think thats what its called)

it honestly sound slike a bunch of gears are crunching in the guage cluster itself.

just was wondering if its common before i go to the dealer.

my local dealer isnt quick with any answers or fixes. im still waiting to hear back from them and toyota corperate about other issues and thats been months.

    anywho thanks for the answers!

I have heard the clicking noises...very frequently during start up. It kind of sounds like everything is coming to life, if that makes sense? No grinding sounds though

Could it be a mouse? On mild Spring days with windows cracked an " or 2 someone " could place a mouse in there or ?

There are relays, solenoids, and actuators all energizing as you start up. I hear it in mine, but it's not loud or anything out of the ordinary. The loudest one is the HVAC flapper/ diverter door moving around to the closed position.
