2.5 years of ownership and 16k miles. I still dont like my tacoma. Terrible fuel economy, terrible ride quality, terrible seats. Mine is going down the road.

Ah yes, this suspension thread is a great place to complain about your truck. With that said, I'll take it if you're giving it away.

I had an AAL from wheelers off-road for my rear end. Was less than $100 shipped to me.

1-1/2" AAL will still leave you with some rake. Replace the u bolts at the same time. I got slightly longer u bolts, not sure if necessary, but I think it made reassembly easier.

Alright been looking to do this a long time looks like my finances are not going to be stretched as tight. 5100's yep, 885's yep, my question is the rear. I tow and haul a good bit, family camper and regular moving for work. I want a normal take so when I hook up it settles down and does not make me nose high when towing which is dangerous. 1.5 or 2.0 ask? Thoughts? Thanks in advance to Blugrass Taco for good info a while back.

Hey Mark, I recommend putting OME Dakar CS047R Leaf packs on the back. That's what I have and just picked my new toy yesterday. There is no rake and I am level when towing. It feels safe and solid.

Or you can get a basic AAL as well as firestone ride right airbags. Then your springs won't say over time.

Nice setup man, definitely considering this myself. But I thought there would have been a slight rake with the 885 and Dakar combo. Based on what I've read here, Dakar's typically provide 2.75-3" of lift and 887's up front would provide the same numbers up front. No? Did you use spacers up front to get level?

Thanks Brenden, with my 885's / 5100's at zero and my CS047R packs and shell I am 3" higher in back so there is a slight rake which I like. With the trailer 3200 lbs it works out to be level... once it settled it looks level and towed great. It was only one 25 mile ride but it was nice

    No spacers.

Ah, gotcha. I had overlooked the trailer element in getting the truck level. Thanks Tony.

That's nice! I would love new leafs but that will have to wait till later. My camper is only 19 feet long, weighs 2750lbs loaded up give or take a few. Just want it to have a normal take after lift for when it does get a heavy load helping a friend or whatever lol.

Thought I would post up and contribute to this thread since It was one of the main resources for my decision. Mostly
FJ to Taco 's truck was what I was shooting for and thank you to him for all the photos he's shared.

    Here it is.

    Pre lift

And post lift 3 days after install.

Installed 885's with 5100's and 1/4" lean spacer on drivers side. Full dakar pack, no leafs removed, with RCD/Bilstein B110 in the back.

Got this exact kit with coils assembled from Headstrong O
    ffroad.
    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p312/Coil/Bilstein_5100_Kit_w/_Dakars_(HS05BK-1-Dakar).html
and it was so simple to install for my Dad and I. Hope this adds to the thread.

Very nice! What do you end up with for height in the front and rear?

    Thanks a lot!
    LF 20 1/4" RF 20 1/2" to both fronts at 23 1/4"
Rear was at 20 7/8" to both at 24 1/2"

Thanks! I already do love it! Rides and handles great. I still have stock upper control arms. Had an alignment completed and they say its in spec, but after my research on this site I'm not sure its the best specs for our trucks. Heres the numbers:

Those must be pre lift measurements on the front. You should be around 22" to 22-1/2" now.
