    My hope is that @ least some of the long term owners here can realize more ways to use their trucks instead of just daily driving.

    Ok to tell about that time you nearly "saw the elephant" on the trail.
    Also the cool ways you can use the rig besides going for fast food.

    K, I'll go 1st, it was in a snowpark in the Summer.
    We got over to this crater about 30' across & 30' deep.
    A slightly dwnwrd path on top rim looked normal; cambered too.
    So as we approached & paused there a breeze came along.
    We suddenly sensed the rig inching sideways towards the edge.
    I told my codriver a a a Amigo Tom ! ! We better pray NOW !
    So God helped us that time too ! ! It was a cool little wheeler, Chevy Tracker.

    Another time . . . stuck on side of South road going to Glamis - Imperial dunes. 1989 with
    Co driver, says "hey brother John", look there's a flat spot to pull off for awhile. It was an 81' 2x
    I was only a young 31 yr old still learning about sand's ways of fooling the eye @ night.

    No " close calls " what a bunch of ....... Not really, just keep it a secret & tell your grandkids ???
