I am not technically a barback. That's just the job title on my paycheck...

I am what's known in the bar business as a "runner."

I never intended to work at the bar. Basically I got my job at a bar because my best friend who managed (and still manages) the place cared enough to reach out and give me a chance when few other people would...

That was in December 2014 and neither of us expected this to last beyond about September 2015. I exceeded both my best friend's expectations and my own, and she decided to start training me as a bar back in about December 2015. She realized that I probably wasn't a good fit as bar back (especially working behind the bar), but I was an amazing "runner" and also at the time I was the only employee with a pickup truck.

2016 was my first full year "on the books," but I still kind of blundered my way through my daily work schedule. In my boss's eyes, this translated to being a dream employee 90% of the time and a pain in her ass the remaining 10% of the time. 2017 will be the year I become 98% awesome and 2% pain the ass. My boss told me at least once that she can deal with that LOL.

I do not intend on being a full-time runner, but for right now it gives me all the income I need until I find me feet and get a career. It also helps that on the rare occasion I do screw up, the bar where I work and the people I work with are both pretty much a second family...

Not only am I good friends with my boss, but I was friends with the owner of the bar I work at before my boss even moved to Pennsylvania. One time I had some empty Deer Park bottles in my Tacoma, and I tossed them in the recycling dumpster right outside the bar...

Unfortunately a woman who did not know me saw me and thought I was a random person dumping illegally. Even if I was, I was "dumping" 2 or 3 plastic bottles. Who cares. I told her that I work at Puck and thought that would be the end of it. In a really snarky voice, she said "Do you really?" and went on about she worked in a building owned by the owner of Puck. I then went medieval and gave her not only the name of the woman to whom she was referring to, but the name of my boss, and said "Yes, I work here!" Later that day, I told the owner of the property about the incident and there has not been a misunderstanding since...

You're right. I don't dump illegally. Throwing three water bottles from your truck into a dumpster at your work is not illegal dumping...

No, she just didn't know me...

Both my boss and the owner of the bar made sure after that incident that people knew who I was and that I was supposed to be there.

    I wish I was privileged

    Most women don't like me

Other day I was on the train

The woman next to me had low cleavage blouse with tits bouncing out

I reached over snd squeezed on slowly

She slapped me and moved away :(

    Any advice ?!

The truth about is I am a very nice guy, and sometimes I deserve to be confronted and told I shouldn't do something. For someone with Asperger's, I have been told by lots of people including my therapist that I take constructive criticism unusually well.

However, when I am on the clock and doing my job, and I do something completely normal like cleaning out my truck and throwing plastic bottles in a dumpster owned by my employer, confronting me in a rude manner about it and then flat out calling me a liar when I tell you I work there is a pretty stupid thing to do...

:facepalm:Some ignorant people believe that guys with Asperger's are womanizing creeps who don't understand boundaries. I am living proof that this is not the case. I hope you are joking...
