    Hi all.
I know this is either a stupid question or heretical etc...
Bear with me though. I'm still the steward of my cousin's Tacoma and need to do all or most of the maintenance and repairs for him.

He cracked up his slightly rotted and rusty anyway stock Gen 6 front bumper. My good friend is going to replace his Gen 7 slightly rusty bumper and offered me it for free.

Could it be grafted onto the '04? I know it's the prior gen and different. My cousin anyway won't care about the looks. It's all about saving cash for him as he can't really support himself.

Could this be possible? Are mount points and widths different? Thanks for advice to a not very good quality question!

it would have to be fabricated to fit. mount points and widths are different. It would also stick out past the edges of the body unless you modify it in some way

Ok, thanks. That might be quite a bit more hassle than it's worth. Appreciate the answer.

Ya man waste of time. You can probably find a used one that'll bolt right up on craigslist for around $100

I'm also guessing he must not have hit the car in front that hard? Anyone guess maybe how hard he hit a stopped vehicle with that kind of damage?

My Dad seemed to think a front shock took damage too, but that's not confirmed and got me scratching my head a little bit how that would be so given the visual look of the damage. I think he based that guess on seeing some fluid on the shock.
Again, haven't seen the truck in person since the incident. Maybe this week sometime.
