I'm in the middle of the rear deck mod. I pulled the seats, console, and headrests yesterday. Then built the wood deck this evening. Will cover it with carpet tomorrow evening and.....done! Got some good ideas from others on TW forum. Will post some pics when done.

My wife recently replaced her 1987 Toyota Pickup (290,000 miles), with a 2013 Access Cab.

I've found this forum to be a great resource and have read several of the threads here about building a platform for the rear area of an access cab.

I tried several different configurations (over the seats, seats up, etc.) and below is the final setup that she liked. It holds our two Flat-coated Retrievers (76 & 57 lbs), and gives her space during the week for briefcase, groceries, pet food, etc.

She really misses her "friend" of 25 years, but she is coming around to this new one - especially with this addition:

I have an sr 4x4 with the deleted seats in the back. I need to try and get one to occasionally taking my girlfriends daughter camping with us. Maybe one of you guys wants to sell a seat, or possibly trade parts from my delete kit.

    Old thread alert.
I removed the driver side rear seat, easy on my 13 Access cab. I left the head rests, for now, I just wanted room for a ice chest.
    Seat belts left.

I pulled out my back seats and built a storage container/dog platform.

I have a 2016 with no rear seats. It would be nice to have one to take my girlfriends daughter camping occasionally.

I leave them folded down which creates a platform in back. My 05 doesnt have headrests so didnt have to remove those
