Ok ...agree to disagree then... I mentioned "better ride".... not disagreeing with how some folks use them. To each his own here but .... "optimal setp", which would you prefer?

no i definitely understand your point, but i think you saying shocks are not meant to lift the truck is an in accurate statement because yes that is typically true. But the 5100's like the ranchos and now the procomps are designed to lift the veh. its just a longer shock. my experience with changing the springs on any truck is always a much stiffer ride. if you want to maintain closest to factory ride and just looking for 2-2.5"'s of lift cant go wrong with the 5100's

Ride on the concrete jungle vs OR performance are two different things that can be achieved with the same 5100/OME equipment. I'm in the 5100 set a 0 and let the coil do the lifting camp. I would be very hesitant to get off the beaten jungle with the 5100 set anywhere above the 2nd notch and expecially paired with a OME coil. But if all you want is looks then go for it.

I have a Sport, new springs 885s actually improved the ride and made it a lot less bouncy and less harsh around town. On the trails it's stiffer when I need the tires in contact with the ground....

They aren't too expensive and the same labor so it's a good investment IMHO.

Geez I leave you guys alone for a couple hours and see what happens. both assemblies would probably withstand the punishment I would hand out to my taco. Lift heights are about the same as well so i suppose im gonna call the broad and see what she can talk me into.

Be respectful, she's not a broad and she'll do a good job of getting you set straight without overselling you stuff you won't need.

No disrespect whatsoever, broad is a general term in lue of forgetting the womans name. Always a gentleman, Never a doosh. On another note is wheelers offroad decent as well? I found myself shopping on that site as well.

I've used wheeler's in the past, solid business, no problems whatsoever and I'd recommend them also.

Also recommend using the term "lady" as a general term in the future if you forget a woman's name....

Especially if she happens to read these forums and is in a position to help you out.

I have Bilstein 5100s, OME 888 Springs, SPC UCA, and Deaver AAL. About 2.5 inch lift, truck is pretty level.

That looks great. 5100's on 0 and letting the OME's handle the lift in front?
