As did I. But in person it's much lighter. I wasn't as fond of it. The leather interior was nice though. They had the pro at the auto show

NO, solely based on the transmission. With that being said, my 17 manual is on order.

I've used s mode a little. It's ok but I'm used to a proper DSG transmission so it's meh to me.
I test drove the manuals and didn't like the longer throw.

Only thing I wish I could've had after seeing a TRD sport long bed today is that long bed. The 5ft bed is really small. But meh. Just means rethink my camping set up and have only the necessities.

Even around the city I love the truck.
My only other big issue that I want to find a solid fix for is a larger gas tank. Was reading the options on a ram rebel today at the auto show. I'd love to have a 120L tank for extended range camping.

Guess I'll just need to carry 2 extra Jerry can. Maybe someone will eventually make a long range tank. Or I can set something up

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping

    No, regrets!

Many people complain about the trans and fuel economy. ITS A TRUCK! If I wanted fuel economy I would have got a Prius. As far as the trans... if you plan on lifting, bigger tires, bumpers, etc I would recommend getting gears! I had a loaner 16 Tacoma OR when mine was getting built for 3 weeks. Stock they're great! With a ton of additions you start to see "issues" , but for me it's only at interstate speeds.

Thanks for the info, someone said the stick for the stick shift was a little far forward. And ive also heard of the long throws. I've owned a couple Mazda b-2200s with MT, they were fun. I didn't test a manual tacoma, just auto. They felt pretty good. Mine was built 2-15-17, so i hope it has the updates built in. I told the internet sales guy that they must do a manual check of the tranny fluid before i take delivery. He said he would, so we shall see. Thanks for your time.

That's a bummer, I've been loving my little 4 banger 5-speed, I prefer it over all my vehicles, almost a year in and I still look for excuses to drive it somewhere.

Have 1800miles on my dcsb trdor MT and I love it! I had a 07.5 duramax before to haul my other Tacoma. Thing was rotting away (poor paint/body quality) girlfriend has a 1/2 ton so we are gonna tow the crawler with that.

Has less power than my tuned diesel obviously and it has a little less fuel mileage too. But works out to be about the same $$ to drive. But I love the simplicity the taco has! Got more interior room coming from a extra cab so it's much handier for daily activities. Love that it's smaller and it's more fun to drive being stick. Defiantly would buy again...maybe in tan though instead of white.

With that I decided to get back in a yota. Really want to build it to a overland type rig I can take the whole family out for weekend trips.

Same here, I choose my OR over Pro because of moonroof. I could've got a pro for 40500, but instead paid 36500 for the OR.
