At least they can see you in their mirror. Try driving a small patrol car with no q-siren and air horn

I guess the one that bugged me the MOST were the brainiacs that would come blasting up in the left lane running about 75 when I'm in the right lane doing my maximum of 62 MPH in a semi. As SOON as they got their front bumper alongside the DOT bar on the rear of the trailer, they would jam on the brakes and slow down to 62.1 MPH, so it took then almost 3-4 minutes to creep past the entire 75' of the truck. JUST as soon as their rear bumper was even with my front bumper, then back on the gas, and back to 75! What the HELL was all THAT about??

One time when my parents still had the townhouse, I came home from Puck at or after midnight in a very happy and rowdy mood but also completely sober... It was a nice night out, and I had the windows down and some random classic rock song blasting... I was driving like a jackass, but there was nobody around and I was sober... I powerslide my Tacoma into a left turn and squeal the tires, and there's this guy standing on the sidewalk. Obviously buzzed at the very least, he says "slow down buddy." I say "Don't tell me how to drive." He then starts ranting, but I floored it and hauled ass down my street. I parked my truck in my driveway and went inside, thinking that was the end of it.

My parents were out of town. Moments later I realized I forgot to either take out or bring in the trash, or something like that, and went back outside. I lived in an end unit townhouse, so the 2-car garage was in the front and the front door was actually on the side...

My silver Tacoma was sitting in my driveway for all too see, so it was easy for this shithead to just keep walking until he found the house with the silver Tacoma in the driveway...

When I walked outside I see this same drunk guy standing right across the street just staring at me. We stared at each other for a moment and I went back inside the house and made sure the door was locked...

The obvious moral of the story is that if you're drunk and I'm sober, don't criticize anything I'm doing!

The other moral of the story is that if you are not a cop or something stupid I did while driving doesn't directly harm you or your property...

You guys have nothing to complain about - try living 2 miles north of Tijuana. I won't follow a car/truck with Mexican plates. If they don't drive like they are going to get deported if stopped, then they just don't read/understand traffic signs. Get in the exit only turn lane to go west on freeway and then realize it was east you wanted to go, stop, block lane, wait (sometimes) for all traffic to clear so you can cross 4 lanes to get in the correct one. 'Do Not Block Intersection' - it is in big letters, thank you for causing gridlock, making other idiots perform unsafe lane changes so you can make a left turn into the market. PS the bus drivers love you too.

Stop at the MTS tracks crossing arm, good idea if it is down but there is room for 3 cars on the other side and the lights are not going to change until a detector does it's job. But if you are in a hurry, just go around me and the arms - I can't hope you will get hit because I will probably get crunched too.

Crosswalks at a stop sign. They are not a form of armor, stop and look both ways before stepping off while texting and wearing your ear buds. And don't just stand at the edge, I don't know you are waiting for a friend, I expect you to use the crosswalk and the idiot in a hurry behind me thinks we both don't know what we are doing.

Brake lights? You don't need all three, make me pay attention to your read end. Have you checked them lately? Love the car that stops, one white backup light, one amber turn signal, and red Cyclops - you still celebrating a holiday? Tapping your brakes or are you turning, I am not a psychic, psycho maybe.

Fly up the street and pass me to get in front and make a right turn, as I look behind me and see nothing for 1/2 mile...

Calif laws - wipers on? Then you need to turn on your headlights - DRL's do not count. No phone/texting, see it daily.

Dogs on drivers lap, dogs unrestrained in bed of pickups.

Ever follow a small pickup truck with a bad suspension carrying 30 mattresses stacked on high? or 45 pallets? At least once a week.

And I agree with just about everyone's comments so far.

This is totally random but on-topic... 3 years I saw a black late 1990s Chevrolet 1500 in Oklahoma City, with Jalisco plates... It wasn't a junker either... It was in good shape and 20-inch rims on it... Looked like a US-spec truck that someone brought over to Mexico... There was a also a white guy driving it and a white girl riding shotgun... Can't figure out what it was doing in Oklahoma...

In our area there have only been 73 stolen vehicles in the last 4 weeks. Neighbors old Dodge truck was one. she parked it on the street, PD said it was probably in Mexico being stripped for parts.

When theres a double left turn lane at a stop light and the fucker in the other left turn lane decides to cross into your left turn lane in the middle of the intersection.

I have three annoyances, turn signal turned on after stopping on 4 lane road, if I had seen the signal earlier I could have changed lanes and proceeded on...driving in the fast lane exactly the speed limit and not moving over, oblivious to the multitude of cars passing on the right, many flipping them off as they pass....and lastly, the driver who pulls into the fast lane and is puttering well below the speed limit, jacking up a line of cars that were cruising and somehow doesn't realize they should be upping their speed to avoid everyone behind them hitting the binders...

Don't get me started with cell phone junkies...

    Out...

In the days of the wild west, stealing a horse was punishable by death... Normally I'm against capital punishment, but I'm beginning to see why death for horse thieves may have been a good idea...

My biggest pet peeve is in slow moving or "rush hour" traffic when some numbnut rides the shoulder of the road and then cuts thru business parking lots to jump ahead of traffic.

I think a lot of us have done that... What annoys me is when I actually do this, and then it seems that everyone else had the same idea and there's a traffic jam in the business parking lot too...

That happened to me too. Someone made a comment about a pet peeve of his being non-Tacoma drivers...

I got stuck behind some rednecks in a beat up green early 2000s Dodge Dakota crew cab. They were going slow in the LEFT LANE. Eventually I'd had enough and tried to pass them in the RIGHT LANE. They floored it so I couldn't pass, and traffic up ahead prevented me from getting in front safely. I slowed down, got back behind the Dakota, and goddamn it they slowed down again. This repeated itself 2 more times before I finally saw an opening in front of a 18-wheeler, got in the right lane, and practically put the pedal through the floor. The front passenger of the Dakota (not even the driver), not wearing his seatbelt, hung all the way out of the truck and flipped me off as I drove by. I flipped him off in return and held my middle finger up to the rear window for about a quarter-mile. I then became extremely paranoid and thought they were following me. Without even realizing it, I got my Tacoma up to speeds I never thought it was capable of, but they eventually got off at an exit...

It's one thing if you are genuinely not paying attention, but the guys in the Dodge Dakota were messing with me just for the hell of it. I wouldn't have cared if they just kept driving, but every time I got behind them they slowed down. Not only were these guys in a ghetto-ass Dodge pickup, but the guys themselves also looked like they'd just finished a hard day's work at the local meth lab... Should have asked them if they were driving that shitty Dodge because their Pontiac Aztek had blown up in a meth explosion, or told them to say hello to Walt White when they clocked in the next morning..

Following too close. I think close to half of the people behind me are closer than they should be. Sometimes you get one that is right next to you though. I figure many of them are city transplants. Where a deer or moose could jump out in front of the car ahead of you on a back road, you want to give yourself all the reaction time you possibly can.

I've come very close to hitting a deer several times. It may be unavoidable for the person who actually hits it, but if you keep distance behind them you at least have time to react.

Never "hit" a deer (ask me why I say it that way). Hit a bird with my mom's 2013 Murano once... As for following too closely, I have a bumper magnet on my tailgate that says "I HAVE GOOD BRAKES. DO YOU HAVE GOOD INSURANCE?"

My biggest peeve has to do with my local McD's. It sits on a corner with left turning lanes like so.

    000|00:00!00|
    ____| Y : Z ! ^ |_________________
    __ __................. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    ,,,,,,,,,,.................C__ __ __ __ __ __ __
    _X_.................___________ v ____
    000| v ! B : ^ A <<<<<<<< ^
    000| v ! B : ^ | v McD's ^
    000| v ! B : ^ >>>>>>>>>> ^
    000| v ! B : ^ |

People turn right from X or come strait from Y and then try to turn left into McD's or block the left turn lane (B) to turn in instead of going strait from X or turning left at Z and using the back entrance and going around the parking lot. Then when they leave they try and turn left from A instead of going around the lot again and out the back exit to turn left at C. Its not so bad at night but during the day its intollerable.

Hope this makes sense. They compress multiple spaces.

Only time I ever go McD's is to pick up lunch for the boss... Ever since I started eating at Basically Burgers (now closed sadly), I could never go back to fast food. Luckily Puck makes a pretty awesome burger...

Thankfully this has NOT happened to me, but it has happened to a lot of people I know...

Imagine this scenario: You have an older (8 to 10+ years old) vehicle that is in mint condition. Somebody rear-ends you or sideswipes you, and the damage to your vehicle would not matter if it was newer, but your vehicle is older so the at-fault driver's insurance company totals it because the cost of fixing the damage exceeds the value of the vehicle... This very scenario happened to my aunt in a parking lot when the driver of a Hummer H2 wasn't paying attention...

The car in the pictures below is my aunt's 1998 Monte Carlo. The pictures were taken in June 2008 so the car was 10 years old. It only had about 100K miles on it, and aside from the fact that my aunt smoked like a chimney (and still does) in the car, it was pretty much MINT. On top of that it was LOADED. ICE COLD A/C, power everything, leather seats, sunroof, and surprisingly good factory sound system (gotta love those older Delco systems). The car had already been declared "totaled" by the other driver's insurance company by the time these pictures were taken, but my aunt hadn't given it to them yet and was still driving. My aunt's car was totaled because of that small amount of damage you see behind the passenger door!

My aunt has a 2001 Jeep Cherokee now but still misses the Monte Carlo to this very day.

The problem is not that I eat there (Im diabetic so I tend not to eat fast food very often but maybe once or twice a month max) but that I have to go that way to get to work, and Waly-world is diagonally across the road from McD's; so it is a heavy traffic area.
