The tsb that u posted is some
that tsb is for driveline vibration I believe the tsb consists on a new leaf spring kit and a steering wheel dumper
It doesn't apply to me I know that for sure.
No noise from the engine either here

wish I could find this stupid noise... I know its a vibration but its not one you feel in the truck in any way, its one you hear, like when two pieces of metal are close together and vibrating off each other but damn if I can find it.

Mine is 2nd GEN. I had a buzzing vibration , more annoying than anything. I always could feel it in seat and in center mirror, I bought my Taco new, a 2005 TRD Double cab LWB and it vibrated from 45 to 55mph ,it vibrated in 3rd 4th 5th or neutal coasting at 45 to 50 mph, but was worse in 5th at 45mph. I had it back 5 times to dealer ,it was never solved even after balancing, alignment , new tires at 40K., etc. I just drove at 44mph or above 55mph. I also checked everything in driveline , changed Diff. Fluid , Then at 69k miles, I had bought a set of 16" tires and OEM rims to try as a last resort (truck came with 265x65x17") I love my truck and had already decided I was going to have this vibration forever, WEll When going to change first tire (rear) I noticed a click when moving tire forward and back.( BAD U-JOINT cap) As soon as I replaced all 3 with quality American Spicer U-joints all vibration was gone , and this is before I had a chance to install the new 16" tires I had bought. I could not Believe it ! Its like I had a new truck, no buzz, just smooth best feeling I have ever had ,this annoying vibration since new was GONE !!!! I don't know if original u-joints were not made right or what. I Hope this helps some one some where! Thanks, Marvin PS> I had given up on ever solving it since so many people have this, WELL MINE HAD IT, SINCE NEW, NOW AT 70K MILES ITS GONE.

This is very common. In fact I have not driven a 3rd gen without it. I also feel it in the steering wheel. Dealer says it's normal. My old ford didn't vibrate like that

Yeah this is normal only in the sense that it is a design flaw. But technically still is normal for the vehicle, and toyota won't do anything about it until it affects sales or multiple people get hurt as a result of it, which I don't think many people will.

I agree, I came from an older ford, no vibration, I've driven many other cars/trucks no vibration similar. It's just a shitty design issue that they are able to get away with for now until competition increases.

I say it all the time but I hope ford doesn't royally screw the new ranger. I swear if they were to make a simple 4wd truck like the tacoma, in similar exterior styling to the older ranger, offer ecoboost options for the mpg whores, an engine option for us that don't trust ecoboost yet, but use their much better interior comfort they have going for their lineup, it will dominate the midsize market again.

Absolutely massive bonus dream points if they offer a manual transmission.

Honestly if the Ranger flops, Toyota doesn't have a reason to change anything once again.

I don't know why people give ford such a hard time. I payed way less for it used than I would have a used tacoma, and it had very minor problems up until about 150k miles. I would have just repaired it and kept it but I wanted to switch over to a manual transmission, and I heard Tacomas were the best mid size truck you could get. And the ford was my first vehicle and I did not treat it very well. Not to mention it was regarded as the WORST year of that particular model.

I've never had a problem with any fords I've owned, my ranger was flawless through and through. My Dad has had Fords his whole life and never come across a bad one.

My 1st gen Tacoma was better then my second gen but my second gen was a really great vehicle too. Honestly if I didn't have an 8 month old and another on the way I'd have bought another Tacoma.

Not a day goes by that I don't question if I should have bought a T4R though. If I didn't use the bed of a truck it's what I would have done.

What I don't get is blind loyalty and fan boys who hate another brand just to hate it. None of these companies pay us and even really give a shit about us

Looks like fewer complaints about this issue with MY17s overall...

I dont think it has changed, guy at work got a 17 couple of weeks ago, feels exactly the same.Wish more people would contact corporate about it though I doubt it would change anything. 1 thing I have noticed with mine this winter, with the wild temperature swings here in Ohio is it seems to change how it feels first thing in the morning. It will go from not too bad to atrocious when leaving in the morning.Seems to be a definite engine, exhaust thing to me.

I will say that since rev 1, the vibration is much less noticeable. Primarily bc it will hold a higher gear at highway speeds now and thus seems to be running just below the "buzz" zone RPMs. Didn't FIX the problem really but it doesn't bother me nearly as much now.

yes I have the same problem, 2016 off road trd, 3000 miles and I am getting a drive line vibration, feels like a oscillating vibration in the steering column, dealer just blew smoke up my ass, called Toyota corp, wanting a rep to check it out, waited 2 months for the same answer, what a bunch of shit, there is a problem with the design ,drive line, not happy, should of bought a ford.

haven't located the sound I hear yet but I actually came up with a better reference to what it sounds like... its only under throttle and it makes the sound you hear when you have an old fan, I'm sure everyone has heard one before, where the cage is old, worn out and when the fan osculates and the cage/blades vibrate, thats the sound I hear.

I have the buzzy vibration, between 1100 and 1200 rpm's. Always in the lower gear range, feel it in the accelerator pedal too. Drives me insane. Toyota Tech couldn't hear it of course. It seems to have gotten worse here lately.
