I'll give you one for free, being your design and all. And in my defense I wasn't around when these were made. But Colin did hook me up w one at his house.

Yes, yes, I said "most" of you guys. I think 5 or 6 people bought stickers. I recognize it wasn't the greatest design in the world but I posted progress in stages and no one offered any criticism or thoughts, then after it got made everyone be like: "Oh, you should do this, that, and the other to the design". Whatever, STFU and go bolt some shit you won't ever use onto your trucks*

Hey, Roman, I do have a legit question for you because I trust your mechanical knowledge.

I'm not going to lift my Tacoma per se, but I've been planning on installing Bilstein 5100 all around, with the front set at .65; idea being to get a slightly better suspension while also accomplishing a front level.

However I see a lot of reports of front differential carrier needle bearings going out with any amount of lift, and I actually had the issue on my 4Runner with the carrier bearings going out about 10,000 miles after lifting.

I don't really want to install the ECGS bushing, and I'm wondering what your thoughts are on that very small amount of front lift causing an issue with the needle bearings?

I suppose if it's going to be a problem I'm just going to run the 5100 at 0 setting, which will get me a slightly better suspension and no risk of an issue with the front diff. It's not worth it to me to have a huge investment for just about a half inch of front lift.

Collin or anyone else with mechanical knowledge or experience with this issue feel free to chime in.

Roman and I lifted mine a little over a year ago. No noise from the bearing for quite a while. I thought "maybe it is a some-have-it-some-dont kind of problem". Then one day in the fall last year I noticed a rumbling feeling in my steering wheel. It was so faint but noticeable. Switched into 4Hi and it went away. I welcomed myself to the bearing club!

From what I've read, if you lift your rig at all, eventually it will begin to fail. Could be months, could be years. I have all the parts and tools to tackle this little job next.

From everything I've heard and read, the carrier bearing can fail even without a lift. Since Toyota casts the differentials instead of machining them, it causes bigger gaps between the bearing bushings and they begin to wobble and wear out prematurely.

If you don't want to do the ECGS, you can always get a front locker LOL.

As for the 5100s, I've never worked on them.. ironically, I'm lifting a 16 taco today, but I'm doing about a 2-2.5" front lift and 1.5" rear lift with AALs.

If you want to level it, I would just set them at the second notch (.65? Like you said) and you should be fine, that's if you are using the stock springs. If you use a longer spring then keep them at the first 0.0 notch.

Another options is blocks (please :D) or you can look into getting a 1/4" or 1/2" spacer from toytec or wheelers off road and that might get you closer to being level without changing suspension components.

Yeah. I already got the 5100s sitting here. They are for sure a better shock than the OEM Hitachi, so I'm going with them either way. Don't want anything in the back. Fuck it, if that shit fails, it fails.

I talked to Brian last night and he sent me the file w/ the image. I'm gonna stick with the original...well because it is the original. I'm looking for input on colors, I'm I'm not sure yet on what the cutout will be (hoping to get it outlined on the outer edge) ....and for those of you not familiar w/ it i snapped a quick pic.(I didn't want to use the actual file because I feel like it's not mine to post up everywhere)
So I need to come up with a font color, background and border.
