I just bought a camper.....Only weighs about 2200 fully loaded. I have the 1.5 inch lift kit from icon on the back stock leaf springs. They aren't sagging too bad however I would like to either put air bags or maybe buy a new set of springs. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I also see wheelers sells timbren bump stops that might do the trick also..

Does your hitch have a tensioning device? Keeps the rear from sagging when hauling, and, yes, airbags will help immensely....bump stops aren't gonna do much, you get taller stops, suspension travel is restricted and you will be hitting the stops all the time...

I have air bags, put on by PO in 1997. Still working great.

The parts are pretty reasonable, I think the whole setup is around $300 including the compressor and load controller. I priced it out thinking I might need to replace some stuff but it's all working flawlessly 20 years later...

Of course double that cost if you have a shop install it.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
I usually add air bags on my trucks. Haven't done this one yet. Bags can be inflated when towing or bed is loaded, deflated when not. I only tow once in a while. This way I don't have to have that stiff ride all the time.

Do you have the factory overload springs installed? If not that would be a good starting point. As another member posted you can get a weight distribution hitch for your trailer as well. Regardless Toyota springs suck! Maybe ome springs would suit your needs. I think in your case airbags would be a bandaid for the crappy Toyota springs. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking airbags I just don't think it's your best option. My .02

If your using air bags carry a spare

    Make sure your compressor works

    Check for leaks .

Nothing like a Air bag failing in the worse place .
