    Speaking of knowing your shit...

I'm gonna be doing my rear shock relocation later this winter using the BAMF crossmember and lower mounts. Anything I need to watch out for?

    - 10" King 2.5s
    - remote resis
    - CDC
    - looking to keep the shocks as outboard and as vertical as possible

    Thanks, Tim!

Replying here to keep the clutter out of the B.S. Thread.

I ordered the rears with 1.5" Heim spacers, so I should be good to go in that regard. They're made to work with the BAMF crossmember relocation kit, so I think I'll be good to go that way.

Do you think I fucked up by going with a 10" stroke over a 12"? I just figured that I'd rather trade stroke for having shocks mounted more vertically and as outboard as possible short of going outside the frame. I also thought that that would present more options for valving as opposed to a longer shock in a /\ configuration.

Would you be interested in attempting to rebuild them?

I'm digging them out of storage this week.

I can rebuild them, finding seal kits might be a challenge. PM me when you get them out of storage.

Yes I can. If you're doing a rebuild at the same time it will just be the added cost of the cdc. I will have to contact Icon to get prices.

Awesome! I won't have to do a rebuild yet but I don't want to send my icons out of state when I have cdc resi put in.

Do you want to add reservoirs to your fronts or just the cdc end cap to the rears?

To add the fronts you will need a new top cap, the resi and hose. That can get pretty expensive. The last person that wanted the same, I suggested they sell what they have and buy new. The money difference (new vs old) is about the same and without the downtime of rebuilding the shocks. I can get prices if you want to still add the parts.

Icon doesn't show a CDC for the 2.0 rears but I can put a 2.5 CDC resi on the shocks.

I picked up some Fox 2.0's for my T4R and didn't like how the resi's mounted so I made some new hoses and welded on resi mounts I had laying around.

Just need to crimp the fittings and put the shocks together. These shocks are for a 2nd gen Tacoma but bolt into a T4R by changing the lower bushing.

Can you use the T4R(2010+) front icons on a Taco or vice versa? I have been told that you can rotate the shaft/bottom mount to align them correctly after releasing spring tension. I just havent had both in the shop at the same time to compare yet.

They should bolt into 2nd gen+ Taco's. Check the top hat bolt pattern, should be the same orientation. You might have to move the misalignment spacers around on the lower mount to move the shock away from the sway bar.

I rebuilt @iRideMTB Icon coilovers tonight, and replaced his lower bearings.

Here is a before and after, they were super clean when they were dropped off. My guess is @aero3685 drooling all over them cleaned them up.
