Well, there is a mix of good news and bad news. Dealer heard and diagnosed the sound coming from the rear of my truck as right rear bearing, so it wasn't just my imagination. And it is covered under the extended warranty I have. Worse news is that I also need inner tie-rods replaced; warranty coverage of that is in some doubt at the moment. :fingerscrossed:

Curious what the noise was that caused you to think it was your bearing? Grinding? Howl? Could you feel it?

I just regeared, but the shop said I had 3 spun bearings in the rear. He said he thought they were over torqued from the factory.

A sort of whining/whistle/electric motor sound that starts up at speeds over 25 mph. No grinding. And it would wind down as I would come to a stop.

Wait, what? Was that the noise you though was coming from the right front? I thought you figured that was a loose wire, or something like that.

More shit then I ever planned on doing
Did you just take it in and say find this noise? Both the dealers close to me are pricks and pretty much told me it would be a fight to get anything covered because of my mods lift and oversized tires.

That is a different and as yet undiagnosed intermittent noise.
That is exactly what I did and they heard it and found it. Third-party warranty company dude is coming to look at it tomorrow to give a ruling on whether they'll cover the tie rods. Bearing is covered.

If you have anything but stock rims, your warranty will probably be denied for wheel bearings/suspension stuff, as their logic will dictate that the added stress from aftermarket rims caused the failure, so they aren't liable. Your only return argument would be if you bought aftermarket rims with the same backspace, size, and width as stock.

Read through the section of your warranty that deals with exclusions. Why you ask? Because more than likely they will try and find a reason not to cover the repair. If there are mods and they exclude any coverage because of it, ask for your money back-you can pretty much guarantee they will say "not covered due to xyz modification".

Does it squeak when you turn your steering wheel? I wonder if my Tie rods are going out too.

    TRD fake beadlocks FTW!
Good thought. The wheel bearing is a done deal, we'll see what they say about the tie rods with the lift.
Might just take you up on that.
