Why not get the angled box from pioneer. Fits better and no cutting.

I went from a complete system to just the stock HU(aftermarket HU took a shit) with upgraded speakers and sound deadening galore. It sounds great IMO. My stock speakers were 12 years old though.

I put these in the back last night... I tested each one before and after, put driver in before pass... they hit s lot harder, there is less tinny(that's the sound description my son and I came up with) sound for the aftermarket speakers. Like most people commented they are quieter, mostly because they aren't made of paper.. there must be a very limited amount of power going to these speakers. I would guess less than 20 watts rms. However the little 6.5 subs hit prettty good. I'm doing the dash next to 3.5 when the adapters come in... then the 6x9. I want to add a sub and a amp but I'm in the fence.

What box is this/where did you get it? 8 or a 10" sub?
