I'm a recovering Ford guy as well (just noticed your post). When they reach 150,000 miles they become disposable. They might be better now but I don't know.

All the mechanics I talked to spoke most highly of Toyota more than any other brand.

 

My Tacoma cherry has been popped. I am so amazed at this truck. I was stationed overseas and fell in love with the versatility of the Hilux. So I got an Audi hatchback in diesel. That decision actually turned out to be a good one. With Audi falling under the "Dieselgate" scandal here in Cali, Audi graciously forked over a decent settlement check and I was able to purchase my Sasha Grey '17 Tacoma. I couldnt be happier. This truck has all the luxury of my Audi and all the versatility of the Hilux (minus the diesel engine). Im grateful for this forum as it has already helped me in a few ways learn more about my truck. I cant wait to be part of this community and get the most out of this beautiful machine.

 

FINALLY! Last spring I purchased a 2006 Tacoma XPS from a dealer in Oxnard, CA. I've been a fortunate recipient of hand-me-down vehicles for 20 years (very fortunate) so this is the first vehicle I actually got to pick out. I happened to buy a dirt bike last winter which sped along my need for a truck. Truck + Dirtbike = dream come true. Driving a truck is fantastic and having that truck be a Tacoma is pure joy. I'm very happy to have bumped into TW and have been lost in the forums reading so much that I've only just now realized I can post. Happy to be here!

 

I owned a '13 Honda fit sport. Recent Socal rain tree fell on my car. Been looking at used Tacomas compare to new. And so I took l delivery of a '17 TRDor 4x4 in silver. First time truck owner. I just need to get use to parking backing in. Driving it home last night i enjoy it so much more then my previous car.

 

Finally got my truck about a week ago. They traded 3 vehicles to get this allocation.

2017 TRD Off Road. I had a Fix Or Repair Daily that had some phaser issues. Did my research. Was looking at used Tacoma's but they were only a few thousand less with
a lot of miles so here I am. I've had it for three weeks now. Love it. When I bought my Ford eight years ago, I had looked at Tacoma's then but went with
the bigger truck to haul family around. Always regretted not buying a Tacoma then.....now I got to make up for it! Now all I want to do is give it it's own
look. Subtle Sharp......

 

Hello world im new to Tacoma world and i think this is awesome place to get ideas and help and to give help and ideas. I got this in Sept of 2016 but its a 2017 TRD OR DC SB 4x4. Will mod and post in the other Threads.

 

Just recently pickup a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport DcSB w/tech package. Had severls trucks before, but this is my first BRAND NEW truck under my name. I had a 1981 toyota pickup 2wd, 1987 & 1988 toyota pickup extra cab 4wd (like Marty's truck from Back into the future), 1990 toyota pickup extracab 2wd, 2 1996 tacomas extracab 2wd, 2011 tacoma TRd sport barcelona red, and now my NEW 2017 Tacoma. Btw all older models have been manual transmission and Im only 21.
