I haven't driven my truck in a month, today I will call the dealer & have them replace my clutch!

 

What happened??!! Any particular reason why you haven't driven it? And a new clutch already??

 

Because after the SC was installed at 5k, milage dropped & fuel cost went up (min 91 octane required) I was driving 100 mi a day to/from new job (since laid off from along with 60 others). I noticed clutch slipping around 12-15k & I drive it like I have a egg under the pedal.

Dealer told me if they tear it down & the parts are not defective, I will be on the hook for the repair. Toyota corporate said it is covered under warranty.

Either way it has to be fixed, If they try to charge me, I will drop off the loaner & call an Uber to take me home.

 

DANG. That sucks. I remember when we met up and I bought the hood protector from you, you mentioning you had the supercharger. Would love to see it in person installed one day for sure. Hopefully your repair will get done!

 

Damm that sucks pal , I also have a 6spd and I'm just starting to feel the clutch slip a tiny bit, and I hope Toyota doesn't try and say it's because of lift and big tires and not cover it. Do you have the TRD supercharger or another brand?

 

Idk what they will say, do you have the stock wheels? I would throw them on before bringing it in. My SC is the TRD unit dealer installed w/8yr 100k coverage.

Sliders came in yesterday from Mobtown Off-road. I ordered bare, going to be sanding and priming soon, maybe this weekend. Not sure what I should do for final coat though, any suggestions?

Bolt on, didn't want to weld onto my frame on a truck that has less than 6k miles on it haha

Awesome bud ya my bumpers are going to be here in a week or so the skids mid march and then Friday I order a set of sliders hahaha and it's all bare, I'm planning on doing a por-15/ bed liner combo for it all

 

Ordered them when they had their 25%Black November sale which is as cheap as I've seen them. Went with Mobtown since they're rather close so shipping wasn't too bad, and arguable the best and most solid mounting set-up.

A little bit over $800 shipped.

When I ordered my truck, I didn't want steps from the dealer because they were cheap and figured I'd get sliders/steps aftermarket. These suckers are heavy duty! Weigh around 80lbs each

 

Yeah I was researching POR-15 and putting something on top since it's not UV stable/resistant. Still don't know. This New England salt is what worries me most
