    Might be better long term to see if you could cut a slot into the sleeve in front of the lock teeth, and then use the hook to twist/untwist it. Then not have to think about it again. Assuming you can get the spare off first to begin with.

    No thats the stock tire size vs the tire size I have now. It's just over and inch difference. But I want 33s when the time comes for new tires. Just now sure if a 33 will fit in the stock spare holder. Plus now I know I need a key to remove the spare

    Dude, spacers are only bad if you get the ones you arent supposed to use.

    I check mine every couple weeks and they have not budged one single bit
