Best practice is a happy medium. It IS a truck. And it is yours to push to the limit. But it is also something you are paying for with hard earned money. Respecting the machine goes a long way.

Nice! Guess I missed that one! I haven't been on much the past week due to out of town guests and trying to knock out school work prior to them coming etc!

Thanks! Sounds like you have been busy. Good thing you found time to order the tires! I am amazed at the deal you got on those!

i had just done the pan drain and fill while it was cold, and it was just a touch full, and I thought I had screwed something up, it would shimmy hard going from 4-5 once it warmed up, I was thinking that it was goin out, and I decided to do another drain and fill (albeit I drove like that for several months) and I had the torque app so I was able to measure the fluid temp this time and it has worked great since.

Not long after I got mine I went to the talladega skyway. A small stick was hanging low in the road and I fell down trying to break it and move out of the way. I didn't want it touching my truck. Kids and wife got a good laugh at that. My 9 yr old periodically asks me why I love my truck so much and why I'm always getting stuff for it. Enjoy it and I think that's great advice from @h.zack801. My first new vehicle and truck. I'm going to have fun but not go overboard.

 I get asked all the time why I love my truck so much and why I spend so much money on it...Haters gonna hate! I am thinking of heading to Talladega NF sometime for a nice easy ride to break it in. I will probably wait till I have sliders on at least though and I will be moving sticks branches:anonymous:

I agree, very well said by @h.zack801 This is my first brand new vehicle and first 4wd as well.

btw when are we going to meet at the tiny trail right off 280 for some quicksand pics?!:boink:

Let me know what your schedule is like. I'm waiting for work to call now. I don't know if I'll be gone for 1 or 2 days until they call. I'll try to give you as much of a heads up as possible.
