its not actually black black, its called black chrome, its like a darker version of chrome, looks like chrome but has a little darker tinge to it then straight up chrome, looking at it on its own most ppl wouldnt notice but compared side by side its really noticeable

Ottawa tire and wheels is doing KO2s installed/tax for around $1100. Might want to check them out on Kijiji or email them, Matt quoted me the price.

Ho yeah you were going to the trailer right? What's the name of the lake?

I did went out with my Gf and our dog but didn't went far. Took the long way from Gatineau to Wakefield and stopped by my friend's place who is building his house (almost done), and then we went back downtown to bring the dog play a the dog park lol. Drove around on Sunday too, visited family who live close.

    Was a great week end!

sounds like you had a decent weekend, was certainly a fantastic weekend to be out and about that's for sure! I was in a t shirt all day Saturday haha I bet your friends looking forward to being done the build! is it done enough for him to be living it as the rest gets done or is he going to wait for it to be all finished to move in?

I will be helping him to move this week end. He will still have some little things to finishd but the really big part is done. He is starting to be tired to work all day at the office and then go home to work more lol he did most of his labor with help from his father and friends.

I would if I could! Go see it and check everything for rust on body since the frame has been replaced. Check under floor mats/carpets, cab corners, rockers, back quarter pannels more and more lol. Don't be scared of surface rust on bare metal parts but check for rottens parts. Price seems good, even low for those 1st gens imo

Edit: maybe you could ask those first gen guys on TW for more opinions and what more to verify before closing a deal!

I did email the guy, no response yet, hopefully he didn't sell it yet.
A friend is looking for a small truck, so I am helping him to search for it, this Taco seems to be a good deal.

I would consider it, I would go have a look at it for sure and take it for a little test drive haha remember to check the fluids too, my sister once drove an hour and a half to go look at a 4 runner, thing was mint, pulled the dip stick out, there was no damn oil! haha talk about a deal breaker lol

Does someone know that guy from Ottawa with the Tacoma full dipped in green army? Saw him once here and one time on the road last summer. He could be interested in this thread

Haven't seen him around Ottawa but I'm sure one of these days I will haha I have seen a few nice ones tho. one is red taco with snorkel, high clearance rear bumper with spare tire swing out and a front plate bumper. he lives in my area if I'm not mistaken and the other is a white Tacoma, almost looks like a 6'' lift on it and a soft topper, seen him in Carleton place a couple times and also in the city. I'm always on the look out for tacomas when I'm driving around. I remember seing a blue one, seemed like a 6'' lift on it aswell looked like lots of mods but don't remember what exactly, it was Quebec plated so maybe you have seen him around lol

Yeah I think it is the one I saw today, DCLB speeway blue, plate front bumper, high lift lit and HiD, he is a member here but no longer active. There is another one swb access cab with plate bumper, lights behind the grill and a snorkle, member too but not very active... sad thing, tried to talk to him a few time but he doesn't seem to be interested in having Taco friends lol. Finally there is another guy around my place, saw him twice. Not sure yet if he is AC or DC, but magnetic gray, bed rack and a softopper under, and if I remember well he has a swingout too. First time I saw him it was dark and the other time I was flying in the highway and he was counter sens on a side road lol. There is a few too with softopper, lots with lift but those who are member are rare. Don't know why...

Edit: may be the guy you saw : https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/remster.64577/

yeah I kinda wish the taco seen was a little more active in our area haha or at least more interactive, its nice knowing fellow enthusiasts to talk too and what not. people who actually understand the passion we have for our trucks. the ones I talked about are the only ones ive seen that seem to really modify their truck, I see lots of stockers, and the odd one that just throws on a spacer lift with after market rim/tire combo. the member you posted could be the one I saw, looks similar but the truck was more done up when I saw it, if I remember he had a bed rack, removed the tail gate and replaced it with a black mesh, black stickers on it rocking the companies hes been buying parts from, not my style but still looked bad ass haha I have talked to a couple other taco owners who have seen/heard of the forum but didn't really seem to care about finding out the true nature of what you can learn on here and the people you can interact with.
