You should be fine. I ran 285's on stock gears with the 2.7 for a year and a half and mine total weight for wheel and tire was right at 100 pounds a peice

Awesome! Thanks bud. I just calculated mine too, wheel and tire will be 88LBS. Tires will be here tomorrow, wheels by Friday, then placing my order with Headstrong next week!

Would i need UCA's if i ran 5100's with OME885 coils along with the maxtrac spindles?

What rear shocks do you pair with the dakars? Do you get 1-3 inch lift shocks or do you get 3-4 or etc?

Yep, although it was about a year ago so I no longer have the figures on it. Depending on your cab/drivetrain you should get +/- 2.5" out of them. 2.5" is about the tipping point where you might need UCA's. So I guess I should say "your mileage may vary" when it comes time to align. If you get over 2.5" and your truck has the magic combination of frame geometry then you might just need UCA's. Only 1 way to find out :burnrubber:

just a thought. I think Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road can get you around the same price for brand new. those deaver spring are a bit more pricey then the dakars though so it's not a bad deal

Random news: Kings on order, hopefully we hit the minimum to get the discount! Used Maxtrac's located for good price but they're 400 miles away. Anybody commute to/from Sacramento area to LA that wants to mule em for me? :fingerscrossed: Now I'm lurking for some uniball UCA's & waiting for brushed copper SCS Ray10's in March :spy:
