That's super cool. You're probably gathering a whole bunch of attention over there. When I lived in Japan as a teenager I remember a guy brought a Tundra out to the motocross track and EVERYONE was ooh-ing and ahh-ing over that thing since all we used over there were vans.

What region of Japan are you in? I remember I wanted a pickup truck so bad over there...now that I'm in the states I want a Toyota HiAce, ha.

I know my coworkers visited Japan and they wanted a cool minivans like Alphard or Velfire.

I was buying either Tundra, Tacoma or HiAce.

Nice USDM! I'll be in Japan next month. Been there before. I guess you have to avoid all the tiny streets and stick to driving it in the countryside? The taco would be huge there.

Japan is a strange place. Some of the world's best technology especially in motoring comes from there. Motorcycles back in the 70's were so advanced. 4 stroke motors from the 60s that were palmsized...Wow.

Now they're selling used panties in vending machines.

Ironically everyone in the states wants "JDM" parts, yet in Japan "USDM" xstuff is sought after. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side:D

Not for everything. Everyone in the world wants USDM and CDM 6-speed Supras and they spit on the JDMs.

Guys from Dubai will troll Instagram asking 6-speed owners if they wanna sell their cars. I didn't believe this went on when my bro told me.

No Hilux discontinued a couple years back. I think now only Thailand or South America produce something similar.
None of big companies makes large pickups. All they sell is smaller single cab pickup for agriculture.
Yeah since i bought it from US, its LHD. The tonneau is the soft one since I load my bike on the bed, i needed something the didnt take up space in the bed nor interfere my view when retracted.
LMAO. Thanks i take that as a compliment. It was actually a good deal. I picked it up together with Dunlop Winter Maxx for about $1700 including security nuts.

Yea those guys are crazy on JDM motors tho. Im working with my friend to get LHD R32/R34 to Dubai, and they will be sold out in a heart beat. Will display some at the Custom Show Emirates in March. Not a cheap ass conversion, but a real one thats done right.

I have so much respect for you, especially spending over 10k just to get it over there. It's great to stand out amongst the norm. Btw, i was born in Okinawa, Japan.

    This is awesome.
It must feel like driving a big rig around, with all the kei cars and mopeds Japan has.
