    I don't know if I am camping yet, my brother lives in Cadiz right down the road so I might crash there or drive the 45 minutes back to the house. And glad I found this forum I was about to buy a $18,000 RZR and now I can spend that on my truck

    ARB snatch strap works great and is cheap. If you bring anything to LBL for recovery, bring a snatch strap and 2 shackles.

    I'll be getting one this year. Someone linked here (about a thousand posts ago) to online ordering. Going to find that and get registered. Reccomend everyone else to do the same considering this is an annual event and each of us are representatives of TW not jeeper.net.

    A group from Expo Portal went to LBL this past weekend. They ran forest service roads only, starting at the north end.... I got to see some of their pictures last night. It was pouring rain while they were there. Holes are full of water! A lot of winching went on! No one drove in the lake.

    Did this yesterday, took me a few min to figure out how to get to the backcountry camping permit...it's not in the camping section.

    Go to permits, create an account, pay $7 for 3 day pass, print permit and sign, stick in glovebox, GTG and don't have to worry about it.
