    I actually had plans to make a different tie down system that is two pcs the runs along the front bed rail. It wouldn't cover the entire rail but sounds like it would work for what you're talking about. The reason I want to make it a two piece system is so it can still fit in a priority mail 'game board' box....cheap and easy shipping for you guys :thumbsup:

    The sit lower than the bed caps, but slightly higher than the bed rails of that makes sense. The holes are slotted so you could adjust them a little higher than the pics show.

    No powdercoating on them?

    The "competitor" sells them already PC'd, and it would avoid the annoying headache of trying to paint them. I really am interested in a set, but the fact it lacks anything on it is sort of a turn off. Just saying.

    I hear ya. That was sort of what I was thinking as to why they were cheaper. I like that they are a bit beefier too at 3/16. I'm on the fence about getting them. I'll let you know if I want to pick them up still.
